Will fixture pile up wreck our title chances?

Well we knew it would come.....we now have minimum 2 games a week until January.....including the headache of when to play the QF of the league cup.

I just hope we draw Colchester!

Klopp is moaning about it. Reality is that we all knew that we had to strengthen in the summer - not necessarily the first team but perhaps players of the right quality to challenge the first team. Perhaps it was financial constraints - in which case, I feel his pain.....although I also feel that he gave chances to too many reserve team players who wanted to stay and this restricted who he could buy.

Last night proved that very few of our reserves are ready for our first team. Hold on to your hats lads, this is about to get interesting!

I can't see it being a financial problem - I'm fairly sure that on balance we're fine in that respect. Klopp has shown several times that he will only go for the players he's identified, and not for second best, so I put it down to his philosophy more than money.
Will the fixture congestion screw our title bid? Obviously I hope not, but there is a real danger.
We'd have been better going out last night. Though it's hard not to want to win every game, we just don't have the depth to compete on so many levels. We may end up having to forfeit anyway the way things are looking.
I know there are some on here that value the CWC, but I just see it as a complete waste of time at a point when we're so stretched. I wish we'd declined it.
I'd love us to win everything, but the only thing that really matters to me this year is the PL. I've already said I'd sacrifice everything - including the CL - to win the league.

Agree totally. The league is the number one, two and three priority - nothing else matters for me this season.

    Only if we let it.

Frankly I'd be quite happy to see us field a 2nd/3rd string side vs Villa and lose. The semi finals have wrecked Spurs and Chelsea seasons in recent years so even if we get that far I'd still want us to field a 2nd/3rd string team.

A lot of players rested last night just keep doing that in LC, FA Cup and vs genk at home in CL
Oh and cross our fingers and with hold all international players through ‘injury’
    Storm in teacup.
Price to be paid for winning, i am happy to have the problem

Great problems to have but I like the fact that Klopp has fired a warning to the FA that they need to support us.

We either do that or just withdraw from the competition, let Villa have a bye into the SF. Emphasises the point that fixture schedule is ridiculous.

Clear that Klopp aint all that bothered by the LC and that City and ManU want to win it, for different reasons, one cause they want to win everything and the other cause the manager has to win something.
We have to be practical and if we want to win the league or the CL the cups have to go.

I'll be happy to warm the bench if required. I am not great but I am willing to play for free. :emoticon-0150-hands

    Wouldn't we all!

I'm only as good as Dejan Lovren though, so I wouldn't weaken the squad by volunteering.
