Very cool from Jones. Don't know how we won that game as we were all over the place. A full team from the lower leagues would have punished us, but luckily it was only Arsenal who have been poor and lacked confidence all season
Well that was ridiculous lol. Felt bad for keeper, pulled off some decent saves but defence just didn’t help him out by anticipating and following in. job done, nice for origi to get some goals
I got caught up in the excitement of tonight's game, but I'm still meh about the competition. Man U haven't got a snowball's in the league, so let them have a good run in this.
Kids handled themselves well considering the experienced players who should have been guiding them were missing. Milner error prone, Naby Sicknote Keita was annonymous and then injured (again!), Lallana did nothing, Ox despite a good goal did nothing
This is gonna cause a bit of a problem fixture-wise isn't it? I mean we'll be competing for the world club cup when the QFs are supposed to be played.
Cannot see the point of this competition for the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United or Chelsea as these teams have won the competition so many times, it must rate very low on these clubs priorities. Well good luck fitting the qf in with the World Club Championships, a backlog of PL matches and the FA Cup. If you go out in the qfs, think yourselves fortunate to avoid a two-legged semi that would do Liverpool no favours given that the PL, CL and World Club tournament must be the priorities.
Think thats been the case for the last few years, since Klopp realised its an awkward competition with games at the wrong time.
