So maybe don't bring them up in a conversation about Man Utd youth teamers then, it might make you look like an idiot
I thought it was about academy players that have been in the first team squad, why did you feel the need to point out that Beckham and Giggs weren't academy raised? I just mentioned two other players that weren't in response.
Ceballos hasn't been anywhere near as bad as Pepe to be fair but he's not been as good as I thought he'd be. Gio's only played about 50 minutes of football so far so can't really judge, fair to say he's had **** luck though.
Early days but all three look like flops to me. Pepe is a poor version of Zaha, Ceballos is neat and tidy but doesn’t have anything truly top level about him and Lo Celso had a good season last year but I’ve never been convinced by him.
Bit unfair on GLC I think, he’s barely played. I think if he gets a few starts under his belt then he could be the one to really get us moving again, though I’ll admit to being an optimist when it comes to players I’ve not seen play much.
I have no idea how we could say Lo Celso loooks like a flop. He has played a total of 50 mins football off the bench in thd premier league either side of a 6 week injury recieved on international duty. I think that 3 months solid football can be too quick to Judge...look at Henry at Arsenal. Gooners, opposition fans and the media were critical of him until around November or December of his first season. From Sept 08 to Sept 09 people thought Bale was a flop and thought Walcott was going to go on and be World class on the back of an England hat trick. Just my view of course but there is no way a judgement on Lo Celso can be made.
Whenever I have seen Gio play for Betis he has had a big influence on games. It is not possible to judge him on his very short cameos he has had for us.
...and made yourself look like an idiot as a result. See how this works? Actually, given your post history...
Realistically I’d say you need to give signings a season, or at least half a season’s worth of football before truly judging. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been more than happy mocking Pepe this early on, partly because he’s Arsenal’s record signing and also because I predicted long before Arsenal were even linked (was when Utd were) that something didn’t seem right about him but he still has plenty of time to turn things around and prove his worth. As for Gio, kind of as I said last night, he’s played a total of about 50 mins, that’s not even one full game, that’s definitely too early to make a call on just yet. I never saw him at Betis though so can’t say what he was like but reading up and doing the obligatory YouTube stuff, he looks a real good player and I’m excited to see him play more as I think he and Tanguy could really work well in the XI, potentially like a Modric-Rafa link up from CM to CAM.
