it will if gayle scores and it will if he can play with almiron and max and we can bleed joelinton in over time if he takes his chances when called upon . I know we are desperate, but you have to perform.

He's playing sh*te no doubt. He is young though and been thrown right in the deep end. We are desparate for a quality midfield player that will simply never arrive now as long as the fat man is in charge. Someone on sky summed it up perfectly when he said the brothers had 20 odd appearances for the toon between them and Moutinho has got over 100 caps for Portugal alone. We are lacking in both experience and quality in all positions other than CB where we are quite well set. That doesn't of course bode well for a 21 year old CF who is stuck up front on his own. I'd try and find a spot for Gayle, playing close to him if not against West ham at least against Bournemouth at home.

    T

He’s in a foreign country, playing in a poor team, without adequate support or service and some on here expect him to play “worldies” and score every game.

Give him time, give him support and give him service and then decide if he can play or not.

Those were the first goals he scored in the PL and he has one assist. I reckon he was struggling there up to this weekend and every man and his dog scored in that one.

I was one of his biggest fans to be honest, when he was with us. Based on his record to date though with Leicester I would say his exploits with us, scoring 10 and 13 goals in his last two seasons, are more impressive than he is currently achieving with them.

I am not sure his late season surge with us will be repeated with them. I don't think Brendan Rogers shares Rafa's philosophy of "keeping it tight until the daffodils bloom" judging by their demolition of Southampton. I expect Joelinton though will be hitting his true potential by then.

Why not try him with Gayle? Or is playing 2 strikers banned these days?

it's not just his goals anyway it's his all round game … he has great technique , can pass he grafts, wins freekicks and he has a good football brain. I think too many people in football look at stats that can always be manipulated to look or bad and ignore everything else. I said pre season he will score 15 to 20 and I still believe he will though and he's now built up a relationship with vardy tielmans and Maddison I have seen this over the past few games. I will be right I have an ability no many people do when I comes to identifying good players and I believe perez to be a very good player on the brink of being a Spanish international within the next 6 months..

And so will JoeLinton most likely, what's your point?

We need goals and ****ing fast. Last season we failed to score more than 1 goal in 14 of our games (15 if you count the OG against Burnley which won us the game). From those 14 games we amassed 16 points. This season to date we've failed to score more than 1 goal in 6 games and have 8 points from those 6 games. It isn't enough and we need to get our strikers firing whoever is playing. I don't care if he goes little and large with Carroll and Gayle, or a front 3 of ASM, JoeLinton and Miggy we need goals.

Bit unfair to pick on JoeLinton and just single him out, the whole team is massively underperforming for me. We had a couple of lucky 1-0 wins against Spurs and Man Utd, which is great but performances against Brighton, Leicester and Norwich are far more worrying for me. Until the man in charge makes some changes to how he sets us up and how we play this is how it's gonna be. We might scrape the odd win here and there, but the football is not going to be pretty to watch and we will never see the full potential of some of our big signings. I hope we manage to stay up and keep them long enough for Bruce to get the bullet if things dont improve and someone else can come in and try and sort this ****ing shambles out. Nee idea who that could be but there has to be better options out there than what we have currently if things don't improve. I'm not calling for SB's head by the way, I'm prepared to give him time but for me we need to see some vast improvements in our performances (more of what we saw in the first 45 at the weekend) and more bloody goals. It's an old cliche but they're cliche's for a reason.....GOALS WIN GAMES !!

I think we might aswel go 4 at the back and go 4 3 3 personally … get almiron and max running in behind ,... they are both so fast that when we break the rest of the side are still 20 yards away from where they need them to be.. the problem then is whether the 3 on midfield can link up defence to attack and im not sure we have anyone that can do that … I think we might aswel just stick with the current system away at west ham though.

so you are saying joelinton will score 15 to 20 goals ? ok then mate

it's simple I'd swap joelinton for perez or rondon any day of the week

what is all this crap about picking on players? you did nothing pit get at perez for years and he was our top scorer ffs im saying joelinton needs dropping … he's never unlike perez done anything t warrant blind faith. The difference with showing patience with perez was that we knew he could do it based in the fact he;s done it before

You also have an ability to change your views within the space of a few days and seemingly forget that you said the opposite - this is another characteristic not many others have and one that may lead to you professing you are always right.

i'm afraid you are failing to establish when I'm joking and when i'm being serious .

the subject was perez and I have argued for years with the perez bashers and I was and am right .

I never change my stance on a player until proven otherwise.

Club are supposedly encouraging him to ask family to move over as they believe he is struggling to settle quite badly. Combine that with the style of play and how poor we've been, it is 100% correct to have sympathy with him. If not and we are not willing to support people, I'd suggest the club put a domestic only policy in place. Otherwise the same fans turning on Joelinton will never give a chance for someone to adapt so what's the point?

Again the club signed Carroll as the foil to help him adapt. Hilarious really signing someone who will be lucky to make 10 apps, as the person to fill the void left by the inevitable spells where Joelinton struggles. Only Newcastle would come up with such a ****ing stupid approach.

Dropping Joelinton is fine. I would also drop him. Writing him off and deciding he is crap is just being a crap supporter. You slagged Bobby off on these boards and only got behind Perez once he started to come good. Prior to that you suggested he was crap and wrote him off. You're a half baked supporter basically.
