Frustrating. No doubting that Brentford were the better team tonight in the main, and credit to them for that, but a real shame the game was essentially settled by a penalty that even the most ardent Bees fan would struggle to see as a pen. Some good lessons for our team today and hope Warburton can take some of the lessons on board.
Well beaten in the end. But the dive penalty was the deciding factor. At that point the game could have gone either way.
Three times we have been on Sky and could have gone first or second and we haven't taken it and also the other team get MOM. Why does it always happen on SKY. Cheaters for the penalty thou which did change the game.
We were beaten by the better team tonight although getting that penalty turned the match. If we can be in the top 8 come the January window think the board will buy a pacy central defender because forme that is really where we are hurting. We'll see
I like Warburton and we’re much higher up the table than I think most (if not all) of us expected to be. But, I’m getting a bit irritated by Warbles’ post match interviews. He says the same thing again and again. He’s right, of course, that when we lose it’s because we lack guile, or intensity, or black voodoo. But he never seems to say that he got anything wrong in his selection, or tactics or substitutions. I kinda feel he did tonight, even accepting Hugill’s absence was enforced.
Ok. I get it now. Match report. They were better than us in most areas especially goal keeping. The end.
Far too little intensity for a ****ing derby, at home, under lights. Moments of direct, fast attack, but too often it's high to Wells or possession facing our own goal. BOS needs to give and go more, play off someone, be past the defender when he receives the ball. Outfought and outplayed tonight.
Leistner was the poorest I've seen him tonight. There width caused us huge problems. Scowen and cameron didnt work tonight as we could often see angel and manning coming infield leaving their wide player with yards of space. Either cameron or scowen should be infield doing that job. Cameron was poor, he looked like a 50 year old running around. In hindsight, amos would have been the better, fresher, younger option.
