I watch a lot of West Ham and go to a few of their games when friends have spare tickets - they are in a bad patch atm and are there for the taking at present for me. Also think there was enough in the first half to show me we can put on a decent display if Bruce allows them a bit more freedom and hopefully he and the lads learned a few things Sunday. Think we are having a bad reaction to the Wolves game because we dominated the first half and then threw it away in the second half - I said in the match day thread we had to score more than once to win as Wolves rarely shoot blanks, but then we sat back and tried to stop them scoring instead of continuing in the same vein from the first half - and in the end it felt like two points dropped rather than one gained which if you'd asked me before the season and then again the game I'd have taken a point vs Wolves tbh.
Their home form hasn't been great (2W 1D 2L) and we have a 47% win ratio vs West Ham over 43 games - we are a bit of a bogey team for them. A bit like SJP if they aren't doing as well as expected the fans will be on their backs early and playing at the London Stadium could actually benefit us if we get an early goal or play as we did in the first half vs Wolves.
west ham are better than us ! they have better players and a better manager ! looking at win% means bot all too btw because the sides change over the seasons you know and im sure you are wise enough to know that. we did ok 1st half vs a wolves side that played in Europe on Thursday night and played below their best for 45 minutes . I have seen you predict 10 games and Newcastle winning 8 or 9 of them , so please don't try and claim you are rational. West ham are the one side that took our system apart in both games last season and we are worse this season playing the same way.
All 10 of them love is blind and so is my faith in the lads! Genuinely though I couldn't be as negative as some on here but all I ever do is give an honest assessment of what I've seen, I would not be surprised to see us win by the odd goal and I'd not be surprised to see us lose by 2 or 3 - that is football - you just can't predict it otherwise the bookies would be ****ed.
tbh I was going to say 10 , but I thought he might have picked a draw once or twice and he'll call me out on it, but you're an honest lunatic and therefore I embrace your opinions even if they do not match my own
who can forget the 3-2 win of 2 seasons ago, ending a run of 10 games without a win, and dragging us out of the bottom 3. Pure tactical genius to Give Henri Saivent his one and only game of the season. If it was done then, then why not again? Just one prediction from me - Almiron not to score or assist (when coming on as sub ).
