Brentford are often faves against teams above them, even away. They were narrow faves at Swansea and Forest recently (lost at Forest who were in form and 2/1). If both teams play to their max they win. No shame in that. They have more sublime players for this level than us. In general we are a good team to back though. If you’d put a tenner on every team this season every game we’re one of the most profitable in the country which suggests we’re perhaps a tad underrated.
Prefer to be the underdog. Not pressure on the team, everyone had us down as relegation fodder this year so let the Bees be the favs. I may yet have a bet on Brentford to win this as I have a terrible reputation for not backing football winners at the bookies...when I say terrible, I haven't won one yet and I am at an age when the law of averages suggests that I should have won at least one by now. Might explain why the bookies are always pleased to see me
My day has started with a job offer. As good luck usually runs in threes I will be off shortly to purchase a lottery ticket, and hope that my one true love will win tonight and send us up to 2nd place.
It's a bank holiday here today although still have to do some work....the joys of self employment... I just hope we do ourselves justice tonight and show what a decent side we are... Wonder if Warbles will go 352 which seems to suit us as it gets both Eze & chair central and allows the wing backs to get forward......as Hugill is suspended get Bos in to run at their full backs.... Any news on hall? Is he still injured?
I was just going to the bookies and was gonna say the exact same thing. Will be worth £30 of my kids inheritance for sure
Hall is not injured still ...he has been playing in the u23. Both Barbet and Cameron are on 4 yellow cards. I wonder if there is a touch of conservatism in the fact he is being slightly held back until he has to play...
Will we be playing 4-2-3-1 with Wells up front? Or 3-5-2 with Wells and BOS upfront? I would not be suprised to see the 3-5-2. Any thoughts?
