Well we can only hope that the takeover/investment isnt predicated by similar bare faced lies, scare tactics and misinformation relayed by red necked far right wing chancers that have characterised brexit

 

I have it on good authority that absolutely **** ALL is gonna happen today.
(he says in hope of something actually happening and is relying on a touch of reverse psychology influencing a group of rich people who I have got no direct or second hand communicative link to)

I must confess to sharing the same 'mindset'.

If/when it happens it will happen.

Until then, I'll not be getting too excited.

 

As you say accounts are a never ending story so difficult to discuss or follow.

Two different accountants can present identical figures in two entirely different ways.

And, as the figures are continually changing, its impossible for outsiders to have the full facts.

It's even possible we already have new owners and that Donald will no longer be involved ....

... so 'the facts' we have may already be history.

I disagree. GOM is no closer to the accounts than I am, he just takes a view that everything is fine and people laud him for it because they can't separate commentary on the owner with criticism of the club. For example, when I said the april loan could have been used to pay off Short, he decided it couldn't because there's a slight delay in companies house updating. When I said it was theoretically possible that they were linked, he conceded it was possible but unlikely.

Lo and behold, Donald came out and said it was.

All I'm saying is the glossiest, glass half full interpretation is still no more valid or invalid than one that cautions about potential risk.

I'll start an accounts thread to prevent derailment and avoid being called autistic and paranoid.

 

The idea of leaving then rejoining has given me an idea which might suit everyone and break the deadlock. How about we leave and then form a new breakaway EU. Only allow members who will agree to properly voted positions, agree to emphasis on trade and cooperation, and ensure the end of jobs for the boys, unquestioned expenses, huge pensions and corruption.
