Man Utd have been awarded two penalties at Norwich and failed to score either.

    Quite ashamed of the team.

To time waste and play hoofball all because Eriksen and
Winks have failed to do the MF basics all season to date.

Eriksen lets the ball go out for a throw-in. To Liverpool. <doh>

Will not make it to 65 mins ahead or with 11 men the way they are playing.

1-0 HT. Good for 20 minutes, but dropped off far too much after that and stopped playing.
Need a midfield change at the break, for me. Winks, Eriksen or Alli could all easily be replaced.

Great to be ahead but we were dog awful. Zero control in the midfield (surprise, surprise) and just hoofing it away whilst relying on Gazza too often.

Something has to change because I can’t see them not scoring in the second half if that continues.

Absolute miracle we're still ahead. Gazza has been superb.

Here's the thing: our tactics are so, so sensible for this fixture, but the personnel don't match them. If you want a focused, hard-working defensive display, Eriksen and Alli offer very, very little in that area. Pool have had so much joy down their left flank because Mane and Robertson have identified that Aurier is suspect and Eriksen can't or won't do much to protect him. We also don't have nearly enough pace to hit them on the counter - other than one superb breakaway which we almost scored from, we have done nothing going forward. What Son is doing to TAA needs to be replicated on the other flank, but Eriksen isn't the player to do it. We have almost zero possession so I'd hook him for Lucas or Lo Celso and swap Alli for N'Dombele.

Overall, magnificent effort but we aren't playing well at all and it feels like it's only a matter of time before they score.

Also: Winks has been shockijngly poor. His main contribution has been getting muscled off the ball and giving away free kicks. I grow less fond of him week on week.

Funny I thought we were a goal up!

WTF do you lot expect we are playing the league leaders at Anfield. I would be very surprised if they were NOT putting us under pressure.

It’s been like that for ages but as soon as Lloris is fit, Poch makes him number one again.

Is Alli playing? I was going to ask is he injured. In that case, Lucas for Alli, Ndombele for Eriksen and Sonny and Lucas to stay wide to stop their full backs.

Very nerve-racking match. I would take Dele off and bring on N'Domebele.

Well we're winning so far, that's an achievement!

Can't see us taking any points unless we improve though. That said, barely any mistakes in 45 minutes, which has been a huge improvement and everyone digging in and making sure they're in position. Would like to see Lucas get on the right wing second half as Liverpool's fullbacks will have to push on the longer this continues., Ndombele could come on for Alli or Winks to give us some better ball retention and passing too.

Palace's goal against Arsenal came from a penalty that was initially given as a dive by Zaha.

Liverpool have won their last five home games in the league when they’ve conceded the first goal.

Pregame I thought 4-1, now I think it will be 3-1 Liverpool.
