It’s probably the opposite - which is worse - he’s actually changed a formula that won well. Can only presume Lamela is injured if not in squad but Rose for Davies, Toby for Jan, Winks for Ndombele? Are you having a laugh?!
Verts went off with a knock on Tuesday, remember? Ndombele is most like not starting due to his fitness, although that only begs the question why Winks didn't replace him when we went 4-0 up on Tuesday
If he's in the squad he should be fine to play 90 mins, if not drop him completely as it's pointless having an injured player on the bench. As for Tanguy, at 50% fit he's better than any CM we've got at present.
Rose for Davies looks be a huge mistake. Swap a good defensive WB for a guy whose lapses of position and discipline are frequent. Against Liverpool away?? FFS!!
The only plausible explanation for this selection is that we've thrown the towel in on the league and are pinning all our hopes on the CL. I've defended Poch until now, but if we get our arses handed to us - and this appalling selection suggests we will - I will be livid with him. Never, ever change a ****ing winning formula. And if you have to, don't do so by introducing to the mix 3 players who haven't played well all season and don't actually want to be at the club.
