****e in league one where Gabbiadini etc walked this league 31 years ago pathetic i will tell them to their faces as well. Strikers the worst ever too soft whatever, pansies oh be careful might get done by the p c brigade. Murray started this back in 1985 but have to be careful what i say, if no investment then disaster follows. As a decorator I NEVER made one mistake and that is a fact, or knew i could get blew out of a job not like these fairies. Warnock would get them playing i know that.
That's as maybe. Clearly yesterdays result displeased you as much as Tuesday's pleased you. Dont you think that it is a tad naive to believe any manager ( incl warnock) would have them playing better after just 3 games? The ross syndrome remains like a thick fog over the safc squad. Until that fog is blown away ( and it will take weeks if not months to dissipate ). To expect the team to be playing like possessed devils after a week was never going to happen
Until we get some sort of consistency going we will stay in league 1 , we have to stay in the hunt till January and hope we can get people in to improve the team and get us over the line , some people I know actually like this league! personally I detest it and can’t wait to get out of it by any means possible... and no that dosnt include dropping to league 2 ...
Too early and anything can happen between now and end of season with us and other teams. We looked pretty good under Ross first half of last season and went pear shaped about the time Maja left. I dont think all the uncertainty over takeover/investment has helped of late and a new manager sometimes takes time. Of the 3 games the first was woeful and to be fair Parky was thrown straight in. 2nd was wow 3rd we could of won on any other day. 15 shots, 2 on target but 2 hit the woodwork ? Narrow defeats but i think the signs look positive. I thought we were heading for promotion last season and was bitterly disappointed. This time I'm just going to go for play offs but i think Parkinson would be more equipped in that situation as well as this league than Ross having more experience and knowledge of it. Hopefully we are kept in the hunt for promotion till January and he brings the right players in to deliver.
Still plenty of time to make our promotion push, and the general style of play under Parkinson, seems much more positive than under Ross. We're creating chances now, when we weren't earlier in the season. However, our away form is very worrying, and we have failed to score in 4 out of the last 6 away games. If this doesn't change, even the play offs may be out of reach. You can't just rely on home form. Averaging 1.5 points per game only equates to 69 points in total. Before anyone jumps on me, I'm just putting this out there. The effect on our goalscoring/overall team play when McGeady plays has to be closely scrutinised. Yes, he's a bag of tricks, and has won some games with a show of brilliance, but his willingness to try to beat the defence single handedly, instead of playing one-twos with colleagues, not only slows the attack down, but often results in him being dispossessed, and the attack breaking down. Even when he beats his man, the quality of his delivery into the box is poor. He missed the start of last season when we were scoring goals for fun, he also missed the Tranmere game, when we looked like an excellent unit. There's no doubt that he's an asset, but the question has to be asked: Do we gain or lose more by having him in the starting eleven? Does having him on the pitch lead his colleagues into thinking 'We'll just give it to Geads and he can do the rest'? I am not suggesting that there is a definitive answer to these questions, but I think it needs looking at.
We have looked good last two games and more up for it. If we can covert our game into wins consistently, and get some extra steel/quality through the spine of the team in January, yes. If not, it'll be another season in this ****ty league.
If Parky keeps us on the front foot in games we are going to win if we can finish, we did on Tuesday but didn't yesterday by the width of a post/crossbar. Ha'way Lads Ronnie
Which planet are you from when you think that hitting the woodwork, your shots on target,if it was on target you would score, or have you not grasped that yet
Where did i say they were on target other than in your mind ? Although they couldn't get more on target than in the stands or on the roof could they ? If you slip when shaggin yer mrs and pot the brown your in the right area. If your sticking it in her ear you've got it all wrong. Edit. 16 shots.
I think the new stats that I read about as xg or some ****e define things for the younger fans. Im still in old fashion money where xg and stuff like that doesn't exsist
Anything can happen but early signs would say no. We need to spend wisely in January if we have anything to spend at all. Massively need closure on this takeover if fans are to get onboard and get fully behind what the future holds.
