My favourite *recent* (there are many...) Ben Hayes story revolves around Karl Robinson. The portentous Hayes was a severe critic of Karl on his mouthpiece site CL, giving him the hilarious and possibly racist nickname “Tarbuck” For weeks on Wally Life the badly dressed CARD leader berated “Tarbuck”.....UNTIL the day that Bromley Addicks, of which Hayes is leader....invited Karl Robinson to address them at Petts Wood Social Club. On the night in question, guess who was waiting in the car park to greet “Tarbuck” on his arrival, standing in a fresh trail of slime....before being the first to buy “Tarbuck” a drink ...and then spending the evening laughing ostentatiously at “Tarbuck’s” nonsense ....

The manager & team are doing well, & the fanbase is united behind them. Cue the attention seekers. Didn’t we last see the fake Muir in his Charlton scarf at the Shrewsbury Play Off game...when the TV cameras were also present? No surprise also to see two thirsty attention seekers in the fanbase - one on hopefully a temporary loan from another London club - exalting. Keeps them both in spotlight as well, if only in their own minds. Look at the way Muir is behaving over this takeover. He’s like a coquettish teenage girl at a disco.
Bowyer's expertise has increased the value of the club, and so the asking price goes up accordingly, but always just too high. When Bowyer leaves in the summer the value will go down, but so will any offers. Etc etc etc etc
