Their main threat is pretty obvious, as 8 of their 15 league goals this season have come from Ollie Watkins, the second highest scorer in the league. Fourth in that list is Wells with 7 goals. A win for us could see us cement our place in the top 6, but it still being early in the season, a loss could see us drop as low as 10th. As for Brentford, they'll be aware that a win could move them to 10th, and a loss could see them in 17th. All still very early days though. I'll add team news when it is up...enjoy those who are going and... From the official; MARK Warburton’s men will rise to second place in the Sky Bet Championship if they can beat near neighbours Brentford at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Monday night (7.45pm kick-off). The R’s impressive start to the campaign, coupled with some favourable results at the weekend, mean that a place in the top two will be theirs, if they can overcome the Bees. If that wasn’t motivation enough, a big crowd is expected in W12 for the London matchup and a win would give Rangers a third successive home London derby victory. QPR haven’t won three home London derbies in a row since 1995. Brentford will arrive in west London in impressive form. They came from behind to beat Millwall in dramatic circumstances last weekend and, in midweek, they comfortably dispatched Swansea City in south Wales. COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
The League is so tight, just 4 points separating top 9, and only 8 points the top 14. Bottom Club Barnsley draw away at top Club WBA.
That’s what’s so exciting about this league, isn’t it. In the Prem it’s just a question of which one of two will win it. I love the way teams can so quickly rise or fall away in the Chumpo.
Those of us of an older vintage remember Mark Lazarus scorer of the winning goal in the 1967 league cup final, played for both
Be afraid, be very afraid... https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footb...olmer-bold-choice-for-brentford-game--referee
Did I mention I can't go to this game because of f*cking Sky moving it C'mon Rangers - we need to put in a shift on Monday and bury Brentford!!
In a very sick sort of way, it makes the game even more exciting. I hope our players are aware of how poor he is and get into his head as soon as possible.
I'm in the posh seats in the C Club for this game. I wouldn't ordinarily do it but as Clint Hill is being inducted into the Forever R's I couldn't refuse the offer. I think he's doing the after-dinner speech just before kick-off as well.
After getting so excited for last week and being somewhat disappointed, I’m trying to stay calm for this one.......but I feel it rising (the excitement that is)
This has all the hallmarks of a tough game for us. MW will have to have his wits about him to get all 3pts and keep us in the top sphere. Good luck lads ... get into them and show them your very best.
Somewhat disappointingly, and to my surprise, the bookies have them as favourites for the win. Given we're 8th, 5 points ahead of them and we are at home, can anyone explain that to me?
I suppose they know we haven't kept a clean sheet and our away form is better than our home form plus Brentford are the finest footballing side in the division and they know that we don't do tv games...
Forgot to mention, but could there be a bit of extra spice to this one given the history of Warburton being at Brentford?
