Maja leaving has cost us years in this league, and signing Grigg instead of Maddison. The only hope is money in January.

    Unfortunately I think you're right.

I know we've brought in cheap signings but that's what everyone in the league does, and what we've spent - although huge for this league - has been spent badly.

We need PP to come up with a game plan that works and he needs backing at Xmas.

    Don't agree
Been pleasantly suprised Have seen enough in the last two games to think we can turn this season around
Not perfect today but on another day we could have scored 4 or 5 massive difference in attitude and pressing tactics

I do agree that if Maja had played today we would have won and we do lack an instinctive finisher who can turn games like today around but "cost us years in this league" I don't think so
PP has only been here just over a week but the change has surprised me
There will certainly be ups and downs in the coming weeks but I'm optimistic
    Ask me again at Christmas

I’d rather we lose playing like today and having a proper go at teams than limp to draws and ultimately fail regardless.

If we keep creating chances like the last 2 games we will win a hell of a lot more than we don’t. We just need to string 3-4 results together as soon as possible.

Ive seen some **** elsewhere about the gaffer but for me, so far, he’s done exactly what we wanted Ross to do and had a go.

It’ll come, we just need to stick with the lads and hope it’s soon.

Think you're a month early for the Irishman on Netflix. It's on at the cinema first and don't think that's for another couple weeks.

Shrews fan here in peace. We rode our luck today but our strength is our back three and they remained firm. Think Parkinson is a very good appointment for you and I expect you to go up this season. This league is not great in quality but as today shows one good finish and a lot of graft can get you a win against the odds. Good luck for the rest of the season lads.

shrews fan stop the bullshit man, we are rubbish, we sold our best striker in January and are condemned to this **** league now. We are a laughing stock. and as for Grigg never heard of him before Ross signed him, oh for the days of Peter reid and Kevin phillips jesus what has happened ?

Actually, it would be potentially very dangerous to have a ‘piss up in a brewery’.

There is heavy machinery, and the potential to incorrectly blend. Alcohol is a poison in excess and I really don’t think people should be brewing it drunk.

We are **** though, but so’s the rest of the league.

A stadium and a history doesn’t give us a divine right.

We have been in this league on and off for a lot longer than you so perhaps I know a little bit more than you about it. You have a manager who has twice got promoted from this league, players who would walk into almost any team in this league and massive support. Get behind your team a bit and it can be done.

    Thanks for that.
Ivorlot (Monty) likes to seek attention and is well known on here for his erratic outbursts which seldom make any sense at all.
Good luck for the rest of the season <cheers>

I'd never heard of Grigg either to be honest, but was pleased we had signed a "proven scorer" at this level, or so we believed. To date he has been a failure, that has cost us one promotion, and could well cost us another, unless he improves, or is replaced.
The problem is as I see it is that McGeady, Grigg and Maguire are incompatible , and should never be played together in the starting line up again, and then only used centrally, in the versatile 4/4/1/1 along with the added option of McNulty, who is more versatile and can also play wide midfield along with either Watmore or Gooch , giving us more pace and balance. Along with options like O/9, Hume, Embleton Wyke and Kimpioka we should have enough cover up front to keep us in touch at least until the next window, and possibly beyond if they can put a consistent run together.

I reckon those who said 3 games for Watmore in quick succession were right..it will take time for him to get match fit, after the euphoria of making back into the team.

Not sure about why Mcgeady was off the ball...a one match ban should have meant he was raring to go. Its argued above that he and Maguire might not be able to play together...that could be right. Maguire can be brilliant or anonymous...

Our performance yesterday was not too bad, according to the stats, the hitting of the woodwork etc.

However we are not looking like automatic promotion candidates atm...was sacking Ross right....probably...and we need the 'investment' saga to end

Away form is not good enough, Wyke who is now out for a while has not scoring.. Grigg is a flop...

Need Jan transfer window asap to get some promotion momentum going
