They were put on the back foot for virtually the whole game mate. They’re not used to that and obviously found it hard to deal with. England dominated the set pieces and starved them of ball.
Well did anyone think the welsh tosser of a ref tried his hardest to let nz into the game. They had two forward passes ignored. There was intention from their player when he kneed Farrell in the thigh. They should have had a player yellow carded and off for ten mins. the first try disallowed was harsh second one yeah it went forward.
Forward passes more of a linesman and TMO job though and from what Nige was saying I dont think the big screen was much use so the TMO made the decision there too. Scoreline flattered NZ when you take into account the incorrectly disallowed try and the fact NZ were gifted theirs.
no the choice of ****e beer didn't make them "bad" people which is why i put "to boot" it was their general rudeness that made them obnoxious. They did get quite a rep for it during that WC .
Just like football it is sometimes difficult to tell if i a team played badly or were put under such pressure by a team right on their game that they make uncharacteristic errors. The fact that they were playing catch up from 90 seconds just increases that pressure. PS we pissed all over them
Owens gave the tries, it was the SA tmo bloke who disallowed them. I think you've got it wrong way round, first wasn't a try but second should have been.
Caveated by 'the All Blacks were ****' though. I know how this works, I've lived in Wales for 26 years!! I would reckon the vast majority of Wales was supporting the All Blacks, without it dawning on them they've more chance in a final against England.
i thought the ball swapped hands in the mall forward. as for the fake runner he thought he was going to get the ball. Then got tackled without the ball. Both harsh decisions. they should have had a guy carded as well. Which he was let off with a warning.
I’m off out later to try and get into the spirit of if, drop my kecks with the lads and pour bitter over each others heads, because we’re such manly LADS.
The first one was definitely not a try. Second one, no idea how that decision can be made as a pass? It never left the other guys hand. Benefit of the doubt should be given to the try scorer, not just the All Blacks.
