I against capital punishment, because of what it says about us as a society seeking revenge rather than justice. as Dennis said, by all means lock them up for life and keep them away from the rest of us. Solitary confinement if necessary. But no state killings in my name thank you.

To answer your question no. Trial date set for June 2 2020 at Sheffield and is expected to last 5 weeks.
The trial will take place almost exactly 16 months to the day of the murder. It's a disgrace that it takes this long.
The death penalty is like something out of medieval times, it's ridiculous. Lock him up in a ****ing horrible prison, if he's guilty of course and never let him out. Taking a life is ****ed up, whether it's state mandated or not.
Are there any horrible prisons anymore? seen quite a few prison programmes and they all seem too soft and most of the time the inmates rule so the guards don't stand a chance! Think one of the programmes one of the prisoners stated "all we understand is violence so the guards should be like they were years ago, something to fear"
Is this day and age when DNA and forensics in general establish irrovocably whether someone committed a particular offence, if its beyond question then personally bring back capital punishment. Whether it may also act as a deterrent I suspect not.
