Hypothetical question for a bit of fun. If you could put together a team made up of Premier League players from teams outside of the traditional top 6 to challenge for the title, what would it be? I think my team could comfortably finish 3rd and potentially challenge if everything went right. Henderson Doherty Ake Mings Digne Ndidi Neves Zaha Maddison F.Anderson Wilson I tried to pick from a variety of clubs to avoid a Leicester XI. Could have easily picked a second 11 pretty much as good as this one. The depth of talent in the Premier League is greater than ever in my opinion.
He's a quality player Rock, just out of form. 9 goals from midfield last season was a cracking return and he's got a handful of assists to his name this season despite being average.
I only recognise 2 of the names in the OP's team Mings and Zaha. Mind saying that I rarely watch MOTD. Ronnie
Henderson ? the Liverpool player, they finished 2nd last season. Talking about great players Rodwell is on the move ! to Roma Bruce should get in there first hehe. Good team though flash, the mags should have signed Wilson but Chelsea look set to.
Rice is a good player but Ndidi is the most underrated player in the league in my opinion and Neves is an established Portuguese international who had a fantastic first season. Could quite easily have put Tielemans or McGinn in there as well.
Pickford (Everton) Fredericks (West Ham) Mings (Villa) Ake (Bournemouth) Chilwell (Leicester) Zaha ( Palace) Sigurdsson (Everton) Tielemans (Leicester) Neves (Wolves) Jota (Wolves) Jiminez (Wolves)
you can **** off Flash, if you are classing Chelsea as "traditional" Top 6 ****e till around '97, I'm being facetious, I know
I have the dubious privilege of having to watch West Ham more than any normal person would really want to. Rice is an absolutely outstanding player. I don't think I've ever seen him give the ball away.
Canny team that. Pickford was the obvious choice for keeper, but he's not been in the best form so thought I'd go outside the box. Not sure if Jiminez is the real deal just yet personally but Jota is a great shout.
Trying to find a way to word it without some knobhead twisting it to point out that Leicester and Palace are top 6 teams, should have known I'd get some knobhead calling me out for calling them "traditional" anarl
