Did you actually listen to the interview ? McCann agrees it's a red card but points our their player made a similar tackle which ALSO should have been a red on Toral earlier in the game. The thing he didnt disagree with was the calls for a penalty.

Yes I did. I don't think he should have walked in the context of the game. If you do then that's fine. I'm not going to argue with you about it.

Having seen the highlights, those goals last night were great weren't they?
2 of the best constructed City goals I can remember for some time.

Hands up KT, that’ll be me then! I remain to be convinced by McCann, one swallow doesn’t make a Summer. However, I’ll give him credit where due for changing it up. I wasn’t expecting anything from this game, so outstanding effort and result!

Toral was the classy player we know he can be, he made the difference, just need to keep him fit and consistent. Lopez also had a good game. I thought Irvine was off it again, the weak link, guilty of waiting for the ball to drop and bounce, something we tell youngsters not to do!

Let’s hope that we can build on this, not a one off, and stick it up their Derby neighbours!

Absolutely agree the jury is still out on Grant McCann, In fact really I think the jury should be out for a season, but you don't often get that luxury these days. I also worry about Irvine and waiting for the ball to bounce so interested you comment on that. And I'm not for a moment saying I agreed with his team selection last night, but he clearly knew something we didn't. It was just the certainty some were expressing that he's a league one manager that I thought was unfair, and I do on balance think he'll be a successful manager.

Given what we have I do think Toral has the potential to be that link we miss .. an assured passer with a little imagination who can create .. alas his fitness issues have blighted his time here. It may be that McCann was planning on utilising him a lot more .. however .. as we have found so many times in the past .. there needs to be a balance of ball winners and distributors. Alas while we have a number of water carriers and ball winners we are so desperately short of creation

'Know I’m a bit old to ring Childline like, but last night, Hull City Tigers dropped chants of “Olé!” every time they made a pass and “You’re getting mauled by the Tigers” at 2-0 up. On our own ****ing patch. Worst thing I’ve ever had to sit through. #nffc'

This was my first match of the season - I'm a Hull exile living in Nottingham. It's great now to be receiving some respect from my Forest friends for the quality of City's performance. The counter attacking was a joy to watch.
The performance bore no relation to what I had been reading or to our results for that matter. Whatever Terry did to the tactics it worked. Will it continue to work? Or was this just another manifestation of the hoodoo City have exercised over Forest at the "City" ground ever since I moved here in Brian Clough's days.

Maybe the HCAFC hoodoo you have brought to Nottingham might be persuaded to manifest itself at other grounds Horatio and see if it has the same effect.

Nottingham Forest donated 3,000 food parcels to the homeless after a game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Saturday match against Reading FC had to be postponed because heavy rain had left the City Ground pitch unplayable.

Instead of letting the pies, pasties and sandwiches go to waste, the club decided to give it to Framework, a homeless charity based in Nottingham.

It is the second time it has happened.

Fans praised the move, with one saying: "I love what this club has become - it's every bit as important as what happens on the pitch as far as I'm concerned."

Another added: "Well done all at NFFC! A kind gesture that puts a bit of faith back into Human kindness."
