Okay, so two penalties given after the race, but much like ot DontD Force India have a bit of history of posting these types of protests when it suits them? Am sure they have done it before when a close rival does well.
Justin Wilson was killed by a nose cone. Granted it was a more substantial piece, but at high speed any debris into the cockpit isn't ideal and could potentially have a terrible outcome. It didn't, thankfully. So on we go.
Just wondering if anyone on here can explain to me why Mercedes decided to Pit Lewis Hamilton with 10 laps to go, with his tyres all having 70% of their life left? Looks to me like a charitable donation to the Bottas fund.
I suppose Leclerc has all the key points for a good conspiracy. He drives a Ferrari and his agent is a Todt. Looks like peer pressure won the day though with post race penalties after announcing no investigation was needed.
Bit unfair imo, he hit Verstappen is why he got a penalty, no one cared Norris had his race ruined by Albon because Norris isn't a golden calf. I don't think it was peer pressure, unless Liberty Media are the peer.
Oddly even Norris is cool with it. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/146576/forced-off-norris-pleased-albon-wasnt-penalised
Especially after watching C4 highlights and seeing that Lewis was pitted with only 10 laps to go with 17 second lead over Vettel in 3rd. He had an 8 second lead over Bottas. Toto could have said to Lewis keep your going but we have to swap with Valteri on the last lap. Vettel wasn’t going to catch Bottas as both Mercs were lapping faster
Albon hardly ruined Norris' race, his overtake was robust and possibly too far, but his enforced pitstop was down to having some Ferrari wedged in his brake duct.
I do like the playful aspect of Albon and Norris. They do seem great friends off the track but will happily battle hard on track. I think Norris made a statement saying he was happy Albon was not penalised for the maneuver. I much prefer their on screen attitude to Max who just appears a spoiled brat. Ok so a talented one, but nothing is ever his fault, it's always the other driver or the car that is holding him back...
I didn't think either were a penalty, but if Norris had been Verstappen Albon would've got a penalty (though tbh if Norris had been Verstappen both would be out of the race and Albon given penalty points.)
Sorry, not very active this week, working in North America. On this one, might there be someone who is a tad upset at leaving the team? I am sure everyone is behaving professionally though, squealing is very unprofessional. For the record, there are likely people leaving other than the Hulk. I genuinely would not attribute this kind of behaviour to the Hulk.
Max doesn't care what people think of him, which may make him a champion but will also be his achilles heel in life both on and off the track. One day it might dawn on him.
If it is inside information, then Hulk simply does not seem the kind to me to do that sort of thing .
Strange it's only the Japanese GP. If Racing Point had such a big document ready so soon after the race surely Renault have had this system for a while? Just had a quick read. It appears that Renaults brake bias system complied with the technical rules. They kept exactly how it works secret. The problem was that the system was a 'driver aid' and as such not allowed!!!!!
