London is the best place in the world for people who like their own space, seriously. People here respect each other’s privacy, they have to. You can be as anonymous or as connected as you like in London, no one gives a ****, no one tells you how to behave and no one judges you. I suppose it helps that I live on the fifth floor of an old block with solid walls, can’t really hear my neighbors (who are all nice people), and I’ve got an allotment just up the road that’s an oasis of calm and nature.
I just had a week of silence while Mrs and Daughter were away on holiday, it was ****e. I need a noisy house. They’re back now so later on I’m going to find myself a nice corner of the house to chill in and have a nap in blissful carnage.
Love the peace and quiet of being alone when I need it. I think thats why I enjoyed fishing so much. Sadly here there's little recourse from the young boys on their noisy motorcycles, soi dogs, parades and endless parties. Quite often drive 30km to a quiet temple and sit in the garden for an hour or two.
I think allotments are great, when I moved out of London to a small village I applied for one but seven years later the Councillors of the parish worked 15 of the 20 available.
My dad had an allotment. He used it to get time away from my mam. They say you turn into your parents, I thought about an allotment but I have many other ways to get away from the missus
You defo got to be old to have an allotment. What sort of youth says ‘Safe lad see you later innit, I gotta hit tha lotment now take care a some ****, catch you later bro, I’ll bring dem lettuce yo’.
I quite enjoy my own company, it's good to make the most of it, there's a lot of **** going down in the world.
