It's obvious that Henriksen has no place here. Nigel Adkins made him Team (or was it Club) Captain but I've not seen him make any sort of Captain's contribution to the team - ever! Why did Adkins? And, I believe, (I'm not McCann's biggest fan) but it must be difficult for the players and manager atm to sort a forward strategy while this guy is still around. I hope that someone, and he, believes his future lies somewhere else.

Henriksen grew into his Captain role, much as he grew into his midfield role. We did better when he was on the pitch than when Marshall was Captain - imho a Captain need to be an outfield player.

as to why he’s not playing - he’s consistently said he’s fit, ready and able to play and I think he wants the match fitness to be able to keep up his international opportunities.

It’s clear it’s the clubs decision (Ehab or McGann? Who knows) not to play him, but after yesterday’s abject midfield display, it seems a rather self defeating decision to not even have him on the bench. The only way I can see it happening is if Kevin Stewart got injured, as he was doing a similar defensive midfielder role last season.

But I also thought that one of Henriksen’s strengths was his ability to do a variety of positions/role effectively. Perhaps that’s another reason he doesn’t get in the match day squad. McGann has only got Plan A, he doesn’t need flexibility to change things up on the pitch. /s

Until he goes, Henriksen should be playing, it's ridiculous that we're paying him £20k a week to watch from the West Stand.

£20k a week ffs, 20k. I can only imagine what his thoughts are as he sits there watching.

He'll shrug his shoulders and think 'OK I can do this'. There are worse ways to earn a living.

One thing i do know is that Henriksen was part of a midfield four that quelled Spain's midfield last week. Good enough for that job, but not good enough for the bottom 8 of the Championship - curious.

It's probably just to avoid paying him even more.
