Doesnt sit right- why would other managers turn down coming because of investment coming in?

Lets hope its announced today or tomorrow, I think everyone concerned with the club, the fans especially, need a lift at the moment. Something to kick start the atmosphere again. Fingers crossed.

The press only cares about the top six and the fairytale stories, like Leicester. I remember us being in the headlines a fair bit with the Poyet and BSA great escapes.

Being in Aus, and working with/knowing a lot of “fans” of other clubs, we were disliked by a lot of the big teams fans, and the fans of the clubs who went down when we kept staying up by the skin of our teeth. We became known to a lot as the turd that wouldn’t flush - there wasn’t a lot of sadness when we dropped without a whimper. How much press do the likes of Brighton get? Or the likes of Forest on the Premiership past years programme? The weekly build up show over here is all about City, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, United etc. with the odd mention of Everton, the rest of the teams are just ‘there’.

If we somehow do end up being a force in English football again with the right backing, we’ll be in the press plenty.

Maybe due to the length of contract?

As there will be investment coming but in the future so they won't be spending it as will get replaced for a more experienced manager once promoted?

That's my opinion more than likely be way off the mark

If any investment will be forthcoming from the Championship onwards, that would make the appointment of Parkinson much more of a gamble if they are looking at promotion this season. Just my opinion

Maybe they didn't like the look of our current squad alongside the expectations of the club.

Remaining hopeful lads. I had a look over the road and they’re all just bashing SD and saying he’s a fraud. Fingers crossed for some good news before the match tomorrow.

While that's all good news I can't help but notice a distinct lack of monorail information. Magnus' source oot.
