The second I get in the car from work on a Friday night as it’s the longest possible time before I’m back in the office.
Sunday morning. Get up, radio on, do the dishes from the night before. (final 'weekend job' done). Sit in mini settee chair in kitchen listening to music and consuming vast quantities of coffee while reading papers, planning sunday nosebag and waiting for the rest of the family to stir.
3pm on a Sunday afternoon. I do a bit of work on a Sunday but make sure I am home for about 2.30pm. After that my family arrive, son and daughter grandkids ma in law sometimes more and we have a dinner together usually served at about 4pm. We always listen to Johnny Walker and the Sounds of the Seventies starts 3 pm. It’s just finished and very interesting it was with an interview with Joe Elliott the lead singer with Deff Leppard. Wine and Fizz flows and we reflect on our week. Happy Days not to be taken for granted.
Everyday is a happy day ( unless the lads are playing ) as we go out when we like around the Lakes for a walk and a meal in a pub.
I visit the Lakes for one weekend every year usually about now. We base ourselves in Keswick. Believe it or not me and SWMBO have been together since we were 16 ( 46 years ago). We courted in Keswick spent a dirty weekend there back in the day and love the place. Recommend a pub please. Thanks. PS easy accessible as the only walking we do these days is pub to pub !
Ha ha mate me and our lass just had our 46th on the 22nd September and we courted in Pooley Bridge do you want a pub to stay in or just for grub
Despite me moaning about it, the early mornings when my daughter wakes up and comes in our bed for snuggles
Hi mate if you are just wanting somewhere to eat we usually go in the Dog and Gun for their Goulash or if you are a big lad The George Hotel for their Cow pie but you need to be a BIG lad although you can get a normal size as well on the Hotel front we usually stop at Howe Keld very nice just opposite the car park look on booking dot com usually have some deals.
Congrats no just a nice pub good food. I can remember booking into a B and B in Keswick at 16 or 17 and we were Mr and Mrs Jones. Well that was her name. Anyway We went into the high street and bought a silver band costing a fortune, I think it was £1.50 and my good lady put it on her third finger left hand. By the way I don’t drink tea or coffee. First morning in breakfast room. I’m busting for the bog so off I go. I came back and the Landlord says “ The wife tells me you don’t drink tea” I reply “ How does she know?” He says “ Who ?” I said “ Your wife” He says “ Not my wife, your wife “ Hell. Talk about red faces ! Anyway it was an icebreaker we were friends with every one after that one. And yes we’ve been back
My favourite time is when I finish my last shift for the week, which will be at 7am tomorrow morning when I have 4 days off..
