On yesterdays display he'd need to start with both full backs, both of them got taken to the cleaners on several occasions.
On the Bowen and Turbo situation, I think they are a certainly to leave in January, no contract offered is going too satisfy them. That being the case, unless we are relatively comfy mid table by window end January, we're in the doo doo...
No doubts TC, evidence is there to see, unbelievable that of the current playing squad, 8 players were from Nige’s Squad, 3 defenders, 3 midfielders, plus Bowen & Grosicki. That’s excluding Long, who Nige brought in, and Capt Henriksen. There’s no resemblance between current performance and that under Nige. Whether that is down to McCann’s system, tactics, leadership, motivation, experience, personality, naivety, anybody’s guess. Now we all know Nige had a sticky patch, bottom of league, and turned it round, but he had experience of this league and above to call on, together with his pitch side motivation and endeared himself to crowd. McCann doesn’t inspire me, nor do the players look onboard with whatever his plans are, and sadly unless he gets his act together quickly we could be in **** street in a couple of weeks.

Ohh don’t the moaners love to think we are league 1 This was all about managerial performance and not for the first time
Don't get to see a lot of home games as a 4 hour trip down the M1 afterwards, and it felt a long way last night! 2 weeks ago after the Sheff Wed game I thought McCann was definitely settling in so important not to lose perspective completely after a couple of bad results, but must admit I found it worrying how much quicker and better coached QPR looked yesterday. In particular, our midfield continues to be a big problem. Stewart didn't have one of his better games but felt he was almost trying too hard whereas Honeyman and even more so Irvine were anonymous - seem to say that regularly about Irvine. I am no great fan of Henricksen but agree he would probably use the ball more carefully if in an attacking role. I'm sure the most talented number 10 in the club is Toral (whose pass for the second goal was better than anything the rest of the midfield managed all game). Just a question of whether he can stay fit and do it for 90 minutes, not as a cameo from the bench. Sad as ever to see half the crowd leave when the third goal in with effectively 10 mins still to play, and barely anybody staying to clap the team off. Each to their own of course and its my choice to stay to the end, but must admit I find that apathy particularly crap when I know I'm not getting home until about 10 o'clock
He might turn out to be a league one manager but really think its a bit early to reach that conclusion. Aren't we better off points wise than we were this time last year? I find Grant McCann's self belief quite refreshing when we win but feels like misplaced arrogance when we lose! For me its a question of whether he can sort out midfield - probably know more by end of the year.
So is Cowley Irvine wasn’t too bad at all in fact his passing was better I’ll keep saying it our midfield three struggle due to the amount of work they have to get through. FACT
QPR are joint third Anyone say they were a really good team? needed two penalties to beat us a team who were dog **** on the day Wednesday a team we beat are eighth just off the play offs. Terry is either going to adapt quickly or he’s gone.
Thought Irvine's passing was a bit better when he dropped deeper but still a very limited impact. But agree with you on the amount of work they are asked to do. Neither Bowen or Grosicki do enough to help in their own half - Grosicki in particular shows only a passing interest if he's not got the ball at his feet.
He came across as a bit of **** yesterday. Feigning cramp in the centre circle to slow the game down, milking applause on his own after team mates had long since trotted back into position, giving it the old double digit sky pointing crap, falling too easily, and illegal penalty run up. I'm sure Fred and Rose West's neighbours thought they were a nice quiet couple too.
