Lawrence selected for Wales squad as well. I thought Giggs might have shown some backbone.

    I should have known better.

Was just about to make a similar post.
Giggs is hardly a paragon of virtue though.

    Yes and Mr. No Personality.

Personally I wouldn't select Lawrence at any time as there are better players out there.

How the hell are we still in 11th spot?

Nobody overtook us today after last night's lame offering, and we're a point closer this weekend to 3 teams above us, Fulham, Bristol City and Preston who all lost to bottom half teams today.

This division doesn't make sense - but then it never did. Warnockball is still alive and kicking.

Kicked very little first half last night, players or ball. Must have launched a free rockets up rectums at half time.

It’s a strange looking table for sure. WBA look the front runners but a couple of wins on the spin like QPR and you’re into the top 6.

City are where they’ll probably finish.

Now high flying Forest get beaten by bottom 6 club Wigan - if they'd won that they could have gone top. This division is both crazy and wide open.

I expect Whitts had an off day.........<laugh>

Topsy turvy league at it again.
    WBA 2 down at home.
No one seems to want to stay top.

Crazy results, no more that Swansea getting thumped at home! Softened up are they, or can we expect a reaction? :emoticon-0103-cool:

    Good question Masky. <ok>

Going to be interesting on Sunday with both sides looking to improve. What we would we give for a Craig Bellamy to take the Liberty?

Brizzle especially and Derby left it late for 3 points.
    A congested Championship this season.

We're only still in touch with that top 6 because of the failings of a lot of teams above us. Swansea, Forest, Preston and Charlton have had some setbacks recently, otherwise they'd be well away. We can't rely on others to fail because there wont be enough of them above us that will.

Mid table is where we are and will stay unless we put something different together that we can use to effect when needs must. There's an assumption that we don't have good enough players to do that, but I don't accept that as a reason for not trying.

The rigid tactical doctrine that's put us in mid table will keep us there unless some imagination creeps in. I must say I'm not confident that will happen under the present regime.

Not sure after today’s listless and abject display OS, we’ll finish mid table. The race is on for the 50 points usually cited as the benchmark for survival.

I see Bristol were battered by Wigan today and like in the week we’re saved by a late goal.

Also I see our home game v Preston’s now on Sky on 21/12 at 12.30. Another Saturday 3pm gone:embarrassed:

Okay they were pegged back to 2-2 so Fug me! Question: This Bristol City Manager has the potential to manage us...why not...needs a bigger club like us? He’ll know half the players! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Problem is, he knows half the players.
If he wanted to manage them he wouldn't have sold them.:emoticon-0114-dull:

NQAT this is the worst Championship in terms of quality for a long time but as usual nothing but unpredictable.

Brentford losing at home to Huddersfield?

Fulham losing at home to Hull?

Wigan losing at home to swansea?

City scoring 4 with 10 men for 35 minutes and winning 4-2?

This season promotion is there for some seriously average teams.

Just saw Preston have won and have gone top. This is a crazy League. Not saying they don't deserve it, but Preston?????

After this weekend the table is showing from 5th down to 15th covered by just 4 points - and the top 4 are nowhere near away either. Next half dozen games should create some gaps in that table. Any side in that tight block that can string some decent results together could be top 6 going into December and then anything could happen.

I can't understand myself - after yesterday I'm starting to enjoy this now.......<laugh>
