I can well remember 62-63 winter.
I lived in Midlands, and had to travel approx 3 miles to school, but never missed a day.
What would the snow flakes of today do?

I was living in Bramfield and the snow had drifted up to the bottom of my bedroom window, couldn't go to school because we couldn't get out of the house!

So, this is verbatim from the article you quoted Cromer - 'The first flurries are expected to hit Scotland, Wales and parts of north-east England within the next fortnight with weather models showing a near 100-per cent snow risk in parts of the country during the run up to mid-October.' I've just double checked the calendar and today is DEFINITELY 17th October which in my book is AFTER mid October and even the BBC weather forecast is showing NO snow, even for Aviemore - https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2656752
Seems like FAKE news to me, or should that be 'FLAKE' news???? <laugh>
I don't think I'll bother stcking up on essentials just yet and the temperature reached 15 degrees (59 in 'old money') in Norwich today!!!!

You can go off people!!!? <laugh>

So Sainsbury's had banned the sale of fireworks. I wish more supermarkets would follow their lead.
They've started here already and I guess they'll go on for at LEAST another 3 weeks.
Our game against Watford is now the same night as 'Big' Bang' in Norwich city centre, so I won't even try to get in the Bell before the game. :emoticon-0121-angry

US President Donald Trump has compared the deadly conflict between Turkish forces and Kurds in north-eastern Syria to a fight between children.

"Like two kids in a lot, you have got to let them fight and then you pull them apart," he told a rally in Texas.

This twat never ceases to amaze me<steam>

We said it for the football last year. But this time, it’s definitely coming home. Keep the faith.
