OK so pure air is no longer available on our planet......this all started when I mentioned that vaping was now being shown as a health risk....tobacco smokers moved to vaping because of proven nicotine levels that can cause cancer risks to smokers.....but as time goes by vaping is now being shown as not so cancer free as it first seemed......walking through a cloud of vapour from someone walking in front of you seems to be the next challenge to avoid....personally users have swapped one potential killer for another.

Yep, I doubt anyone with any kind of intelligence would argue that putting any smoke in your lungs is a health benefit. But, I get a bit annoyed when people go over the top at this addiction yet don't think their own is bad at all. Most things that people like doing isn't a totally good idea. Travelling (fuel consumption), drinking, smoking, eating too much, eating the wrong things, under exercise, over exercise the list is endless.

Chuffed to watch local Orpington girl Dina Asher-Smith win the 200m sprint in Doha and become world champion.

Would have been even better if there was a crowd there to watch it. Doesn't bode well for next year's Winter World Cup.

Yep they read the criticism and told people to go. It's not like living here where people would go anyway but not if ordered.

Brexit talks look doomed...in recent talks.the only concessions so far have come from the UK....the EU are asking for more, more, more...knowing the that the UK have been ball and chained by their own parliament.....a general election one day will show the wrath of the 17.4 million people against those who say they will only leave with a deal.... what they are really meaning is that they are remainers in disguise and will accept no deal other than revoking article 50.

It's called negotiation Plym. The EU made it clear from Day 1 that they would not compromise the structure of the Free Market to accommodate the UK. They've stuck to that despite all the vain posturing by Leavers.

A general election will not only about Brexit. For a start, there's the risk of Corbyn becoming PM. Given the deadlock, we need another referendum to kill this thing stone dead.

It's crazy to think another referendum will solve anything....if the result of one referendum can be ignored....so can the result of a second.

An election will bring a possible re-alignment of MP's in the house and voting patterns may change.

Ah but this time it will be a referendum without dirty money, illicit use of social media and rampant lying. Plus, people by now must surely have got it through their skulls that the EU aren't going to bend over backwards for the UK and that large tranches of British industry will be decimated by Brexit.

Once again a football match has been overtaken by racism rather than the game itself. Somebody somewhere has to take a real stand against this and ban a club or country for a proper period of time from ANY competition. I'm talking for years rather than a few months. When you looked at the shower who were leaving the stadium just before half time you could see they hadn't gone to this match for the football. What a bunch.

Good win overshadowed by everything else.

As I've been saying for a while Sensible, to an increasing degree, we aren't immune to it in this country or indeed at our club.

On a related note, as all these things go together in particular groups of people, the "Sack Jon Back" petition, relating to standing in seated areas, has crept to a modest total of 57 signatures. However, a pyrotechnic was set off at Swindon on Saturday and I think there may have been a minor pitch invasion after Argyle scored. Those have been celebrated as wonderful events by that same group of fans and it won't be long before the club is censured again after the homophobic chanting if we aren't careful.

So Parliament actually have a deal to vote for on Saturday....but SNP's, Lib/Dems and Jew hating Labour aren't even interested in reading it.....the EU should just refuse to grant us anymore time if MP's say no yet again....and tell us to sod off.....this deal does solve the border problem in Ireland and allow free movement over that border without checkpoints for IRA marksmen to have practice target with....but the DUP will say no even though they only represent one half of N Ireland.

There is insufficient time to read and analyse a 500 page document.

The Government have published no impact studies and can't therefore complain if MPs assume the worst but informed opinion is that this is a far worse proposition than May's deal. From what I've heard so far:
    1. After all the posturing from Brexiteers, there WILL be a customs border down the Irish Sea. This was previously an anathema to the ERG but this moral principle seems to have been quietly ditched. No honour amongst liars and scoundrels.
    2. There's no commitment to maintain workers rights or environmental standards. Now I'm no socialist or green but but even I wouldn't want to see what we have now diluted. If these go, no doubt food and animal welfare standards will go too.
    3. There's now no commitment to a close trading relationship with the EU post Brexit and the product standards that underpin that. This will be disastrous for the UK economy.
With this level of separation from Europe, our closest market, we'll largely be throwing our hand in with America. In other words, this is close to the Brexit that Donald Trump wants and you know that can't be a good thing.

It's the UK that has conceded: we get no relationship at all with Europe and the EU's Single Market principles have not been compromised. They're merely given up and are waving us off in the little rubber dinghy on the long journey across the Atlantic.

The idea of unifying Europe's defence forces under EU command marches on.

It is supported by Macron of France and Merkel of Germany. Ditto Frau Merkel's successor and another German, Ursula van der Leyen, about to replace Jean-Claude Juncker.

Now comes a passionate plea for the same from Spanish EU fanatic Josep Borrell, slated to be it's next foreign minister.

There are advanced plans, that would apply to Britain if we stay in, to make unification of our armed forces and currencies no longer voluntary but mandatory.

So farewell to our soldiers' oath of loyalty to a certain lady or their salaries being paid in pounds sterling.

    Frederick Forsyth...Daily Express...Friday...18th October 2019.

My thoughts.....it will happen sooner than later.... as long as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

Argyle won, England won in the funny ball game, Exeter got stuffed and Boris lost his vote in the Commons. Decent day all round if you ask me.
