It's funny you should say that...

Just got home and to my surprise an A5 flyer had been put through the door advertising this, and other City stuff.

    Bizarre.

When I was a callow youth in the late 70s the accepted and decades-old method of advertising forthcoming games at BP was a yellow bill with black print giving details of opponents and kick off times. These were pasted on advertising hoardings on the main roads like SBW and Kennings roundabout.

Then we were too skint and disorganised too advertise games like this, and relied on people to turn up out of force of habit and prompted by HDM.

Then we we had the internet and emails etc

Now it seems people are being paid to push flyers thorough letterboxes, presumably as some people don't have the internet, get the paper or listen to radio,

Will we see the return of men with sandwich boards strolling round town advertising the game?

Marketing genius, thinking outside the box, or total retro **** up?

    Agreed.

And the more media, the better the coverage of the populace.

But flyers through letterboxes........another example of the eccentric management of the club and its methods.

I can see what's wrong with it. There's no sail on it. Everyone knows a yacht is a boat with a sail on it. I have no idea why the English media have hijacked the word super yacht for these rich kid's toys, when there is no sail.

I was queueing in our local Chinese takeaway last night, when who walks in but Ehab. Ignores the queue too too. I thought he was ordering a number 15 but then realised he wasn't putting an order in at all. In fact he was actually giving the Takeaway owners plus family members 15 free passes for today's game. it was for the Directors box as well. He handed over lots of City merchandise too. What a generous gesture, maybe he has changed after all.

Chez Chazz didn’t get out through his door, so maybe with concessions back etc it’s good they’re targeting the poorer areas??

Are the take away owners linked to any potential buyers? or do you think they could themselves be the buyer? Bit of a ****s trick after removing concessions, making the disabled pay more, using the away supporters money on the opposition fans but not your own, to then start giving tickets and stuff away to random people.
