Just out of interest who called you old and thick? The only time I’ve read that sort of comment has come from yourself. look at it this way like I always do, I was young till my kid were born. So every day since I’m middle aged and always will be. I’m younger than my parents and older than my kids.
I agree with the point on childish names; however, my grave disdain for Corbyn runs very deep and I will never forgive him for his allegiance to the IRA. As a former Soldier, this is the highest betrayal that someone like him can hold a political position of (some) influence in this country, given how many of our troops were maimed and murdered at the hands of the IRA, not to mention he refuses to acknowledge the national anthem!! I can honestly say if he walked past me on fire, I would not pi$$ on him to put it out, this may be drivel to you and others Rob; however, having seen what he believes in and supports, I would say anyone who supports him and what he stands for is the point at which I switch off listening or caring at what they say!
@Red Robin just out of interest. Seeing as you started this thread regarding vote for Brexit party. Throughout this thread you’ve been praising Boris on getting this or that done. You’ve also posted your love for Farage. Now Boris has got this deal and now needs to get it through parliament, and already Farage has called it a bad deal for what people voted on. What is your stance at the moment?
To be quite honest has the full deal been revealed until. I can see this I’m more on the side off a no deal. Are we paying 39 billion ? Are we taking back control of our laws ? Are we taking back our fishing waters? Are we held in anyway to the EU ? If so I want a no deal.
Have to agree with AstonRed for all that to happen it would be a no deal. My biggest concern with a no deal would be placing our trust into the more useless MP’s I’ve certainly known in my generation. I’ve seen using a few instances from friends who are ardent leavers then to post complaints that we’ve the highest retirement age, charging pensioners TV licences etc. All rules that are set by our own controls. Imagine when this lot get their hands on the workers rights directives.
Parliament has done it again! Shown how undemocratic they still are by voting against having a vote for Boris's new deal, claiming they want more time to read the new deal and legislate for it. So they chose yet more delay delay delay. Doing so in an attempt to force Boris to seek an extension tonight. Doing so to allow more time to think of ways to avoid this deal as they don't want to leave the EU. They have shown their own self interests yet again instead of their constituents. And still scared for an election where their constituents will let them know how angry they are. I can see Boris not seeking an extension.
The DUP votes would have changed the decision. I don’t understand why Boris agreed a deal around the backstop which they don’t agree with.
But - aren’t the Remainers and mischief makers actually uniting in an unintentional alliance with the Hard Brexiteers like Farage to force a no-deal Brexit by their actions??
Because he WANTS a no deal that he can blame on everyone who voted him down? It’s reverse psychology at national political level - the Remainers are voting in a no-Deal - poor fools .......
He can’t do that AND leave at the end of Oct now. He’ll lose face if we aren’t our soon, you may be right , but I don’t think so. He didn’t have the threat of no deal so maybe he pushed the EU as far as they’d go.
I really aint sure why the DUP are not happy. Scotland want the same deal for them. Northern Ireland are getting the best of both worlds.
