I'll continue posting on both but find myself skipping loads of threads on there because of amount of bile and grief going about at the moment.

A good few years ago I actually stopped posting for a year or so - the final season under Keane when it was all unravelling before our eyes and we could see the promise of the first couple of seasons slipping away was - on the pitch - a depressing enough sight.
But the board became full of 'angry young men' way more preoccupied with shouting over one another than talking about football.
Not that anyone would have noticed but I didn't post for maybe a year or two until I came back.

The recent few years I would say have actually been worse than that ending under Keane, I'd totally understand why people would be 'done' with it.

 

Oddbod

The sad friendless weirdo everyone on RTG shunned because of how creepy he is.

Came over here and was shot to pieces in minutes then banned.

Now he's ruling the roost on RTG despite being the personification of everything that's gone wrong with the place.

A month after I was last seen, on there, he's still obsessing about me ...

... and he's a grown man, makes you cringe doesn't it

 

I’m sure in the beginning oddbod was as down with the rest of us, then a few people got cynical and he joined their little camp and became absolutely obsessed with Smug, to the degree of coming in here and pointedly trying to catch him out. Then he got banned and now all he talks about is Reiver. It’s very concerning and he reminds me of the fire bug in the Longest yard

 

I barely noticed the bloke until recently. One of many second rate wums.

However, his post sucking up to Roger was so nauseating it made me register on here to see what rattled him so much and for that I am very grateful.

All I know is that the poor lad doesn't take well to bring rejected.

For all those who can, please read the Maradona thread that highlights the joys of rtg.

Apparently, Pele, Maradona, Best, Zico and other I mentioned wouldn't be head and shoulders above modern days players as they played against goat herders. Ffs

 

I will never forget when I was told Defoe failed his medical and was dragged through the mud for days, weeks even. It’s parasitic RTG, even when Defoe said he failed a medical previously I never got an apology from any of the twats. Steve3000 is the biggest **** of all, proper ****er and i would happily meet up and punch him on the conk

Wheez that @MackemX bloke who keeps popping up in Reiver's defence?

My post got deleted as did his but I'm not slagging off RTG as it should be deleted. I then reported another post and it was removed and I also got feedback so it's good to see this happening now. I like this place but I'll also be staying on RTG so if reporting is the way to go then so be it. I suggest others do it too rather than rise to the constantly tedious posters, WUMs, trolls or negative posters (I see Steve30000 is currently banned also) as they'll soon get blitzed

 

You're right about not slagging off RTG, it's been a fantastic message board and will be again.

I can't put my finger on when or why it got so angry there but it definitely started to affect the way I posted. After a while I half expected grief so returned fire whenever I felt it got too much and eventually I became part of the problem.

I've called people puppy cuddlers (and worse) and referred to people's mams in ways that aren't acceptable in real life. Sorry to say I enjoyed it at times and I know I wasn't the only one.

This board encourages better posts with the relaxed atmosphere and I'm grateful. Roger should thank Smug for giving everyone some breathing space though it'll take a while before Rog acknowledges it

 

I said when I first popped over here I wouldn’t slag RTG off and that I would post on both. I haven’t slagged it off but I’ve barely looked at it for 2/3 days let alone post (other than the Foggy thread).
I’ve just had a peep and just reading the thread titles is enough to depress you.

 

Frustrating isn't it Janey. Seriously can't understand some of the negativity on there.

 

I’m the same and I said the same, that I wouldn’t slag the other side off.
If a banned posters name is mentioned in a post over there, the thread is moved supposedly. That’s why they are being advised not to mention Reiver.
I have never even noticed Oddbob or whatever he is called.
I post very rarely now over there because I feel if I step out of line even slightly I will be banned. Just a feeling I have.

 

I find myself becoming increasingly selective what threads I read or reply to.

Here just seems to suit me more but both have their place

Thought I'd give this place a go. Different username, same Avatar.

I was only on RTG from 2014 but it's definitely gone rapidly downhill the last couple of years. Too many Mags, WUMs and just unbelievably miserable people.

Recently feels like you have to despise pretty much everyone at the club to fit in. Needs a massive cull.

 

It's a shame but it's just getting worse and worse. Hopefully something changes before Rodger gets completely fed up.
