Tomorrow it is 50 days since Lieutenant Henderson trained a winner. And this number will be surpassed as the old boy doesn’t have any runners of the morrow.

Still I’m not fretting. Form is temporary but class is permanent. And no-one in racing is more classy than our very own Lieutenant. God bless him and save him.

In the NH trainers title he's off the pace a little but well clear of Tubs from Somerset. I'm sure that fact will provide some balm to the irritation he must feel of being below that total cnut McCain.

OOooh. We have a young racehorse (not ours) in our yard which will be off in November to be trained by him

Not a nice chap by all accounts Ron. A young lass I know went to work there and was treated appallingly by him and his misses. The dad was all for paying McCain a visit to 'discuss' his shortcomings both as an a man and an employer. I also know a guy reasonably well who has had horses with him for a long time and sponsors the yard. His strike rate as an owner is piss poor and I'd be looking elsewhere if I'd invested the sort of dosh he has.

Cheers. I won't be telling the owner that as I believe McCain is one of his customers. But I might do some investigation on stats etc to see if it might be worth a tactful mention

I like Mercers in the first at Brighton for an ew bet. She has Callum Shepherd back on board running off the same mark as when they paired up in August. He gave her a very good ride back then finishing in 4th but only 1l behind the winner. Also a C&D winner.

this is quite a warm race for his come back run,but i hope,my old friend LOOSE CHIPS will acquit himself well enough today.hes done me so many favours over the years, that i cant desert him here.isnt getting any younger, but still capable of the odd good run..

this has a very open look to it,but i think, ive found an interesting piece of form, regarding PURPLE KING.not that his recent two wins are not good enough, but what really impressed me,was his head second to the highly-progressive pacify three starts ago.so,if hes back to that kind of form today, must be a definite player here.

Nice bumper to finish at Carlisle, one to watch with the notebook in hand. SOUTHERN GIRL would just about get the nod.
