Serbian joke: GOD: you've been a good and selfless man all your life and I've decided to grant you one wish MAN: I'd like you to build a bridge between Europe and America to bring all the peoples together GOD: wow, I wasn't expecting something that difficult. Is there anything else you'd like? MAN: ok, can you explain how a woman's mind works? GOD: what colour would you like the bridge?
The story is that the DUP are split on the deal. Nigel Dodds and Sammy Wilson the main antis.Philip Hammond on Andrew Neil Show saying that those at the heart of the Tory party are sympathetic to the US Republican hard right.
doesn’t surprise me the dup are against it........I suspect western and Northern Europe might be to........
I heard that Buffoon is so enamoured with Trump, that he wants to build a wall around the British Isles. I used to think I was good at geography.
In the published letter by boris to the EU before it straight out promised 'investment' for NI. I think I called it a bribe on here when I discussed his deal.
I thought that a No Deal Brexit would be the worst thing to happen to the UK. Now I'm realizing that a ****ty deal Brexit is actually worse than a No Deal Brexit. And I'm starting to suspect we're about to get a ****ty deal Brexit.
Honestly i think they are just getting closer and closer to May's deal as they try to solve the same problems and come to the same solutions, except with extra bribes for DUP so they vote for it.
Found these on the BBC news site. The Norway/Sweden border I hadn't seen them before https://www.bbc.com/news/av/technology-41413291/frictionless-borders-learning-from-norway there's a later clip that won't cut and paste the link is on this page https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-50072748 find Brexit: What can the UK learn from Norway's EU border?. I assume something similar will needed at each border control. (The Irish sea solution?) I wonder if the infrastructure has been costed, personnel numbers and training requirements identified (may need to recruit overseas) and implementation timescale is in place?
New IRA interviewed on Channel 4 news. Can't wait to get craicing on a new shooting war. Brexit is a good excuse.
see I don't think about this much. if it's trade, seems obvious we still need free trade with the EU. If we want freedom to make our own deals with countries outside the EU then if I was the EU I'd say go on then, see how you get on sunshine. Freedom of movement. I have no idea where we come out on top. No-one working on our farms, no-one working as nurses. Do we set up camps for all the pensioners expelled from the EU? Northern Ireland. I may be wrong but didn't the English throw loads of Scots out of Scotland to NI? and now they're more British than the British on the island that dumped them there and the Scots want independence and half the population would like a united Ireland. Very confusing. whole ****ing thing amazes me
DUP supporters are largely Presbyterian whereas most Scots prefer a few pints and a fish supper. The DUP are rooted in a religious past, they don't even fart on a Sunday.
This is very interesting. What Boris is planning would be in breach of legislation introduced by Rees Mogg. Challenge in Scottish courts tomorrow. Taken from the report Mr Maugham tweeted: “I intend to lodge an immediate petition for an injunction in the Court of Session preventing the Government from placing the Withdrawal Agreement before Parliament for approval. “We expect that petition to be lodged tomorrow and to be heard on Friday. “We believe the Government’s proposed Withdrawal Agreement is contrary to section 55 of the Taxation (Cross-border Trade) Act 2018.” That part of the act states: “It shall be unlawful for Her Majesty’s Government to enter into arrangements under which Northern Ireland forms part of a separate customs territory to Great Britain.” https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/p...reaks-legislation-from-jacob-rees-mogg/16/10/
It involves customs posts on the moon, and a border painted on clouds. Britain can do this. <fistbump>
I can sum Brexit up in far fewer words than that. And we’ve spent 3.5 years on this ****. Thank you Mr Cameron.
