he wants to stay.. which is good but I wonder what his monthly wage should and will be?

Don't put him on stupid money yet, we need to get him into a contract, but not a superstar one just yet, maybe something like £10k per week, that will trigger a new contract depending on how well he does this season.

And yeah he's on £850 a week atm, wierd that loads of fans are getting paid more than him, but everyone's gotta start somewhere.

 

I'd offer him £901 per week and see if he bites.

 

As I remember, Albert Luque was on £40k per week, and Xisco was on £60k, so a player that is actually any good has significant bargaining power....

But still it should just be an initial contract that leads to another, there is always a danger he'll be another Rolando Aarons, so don't give the big contract just yet.
