I`m reading `17 Miles From Paradise - Saints v Pompey`, by Colin Farmery (who is a Jock, by the way!). Anyway, in November 1904 the only goal of the game at nottarF was scored by the Saints centre half, named Bert Dainty. Dainty isn`t a term that comes to mind when I imagine what a 1904 centre half was like !
    It`s a good read.

It's less painful when you go in with no expectations.

Let's just hope the Vikings beat the lions tomorrow

A match ending with just two safeties and no field goals or touchdowns would certainly be one for the books.

Depends on what you arm the Vikings with. I'd say using cutlery would be good tv. Not steak knives either.

    Or a spork each

I watched a game of American Wrongball once, might have been some Ravens, birds anyway. Somewhere near Washington iirc
I ate 5 hotdogs and had several beers. I can understand why Americans like it as you get so much time to eat.
Wanted a sleep a bit later on after all the beer and fast food but the seats were really uncomfortable for my non-padded ass so I was forced to pay attention to the game. Somebody won apparently, not sure who, was bored by then.
I attempted to watch another game many years later. Ended up putting some music on 15 minutes into it and smoking some quality weed instead. Wise decision
