Off Topic Lakes weekend

Your not wrong about the road, it's used as a car park on Bank Holiday weekends.

 

The cafe is still there.. I will try the scones next time I'm up there..

 

Mrs. A and I have been to Low Wood Bay quite a few times . . . . it's an absolutely lovely hotel, with lovely facilities and views (we've always had a Lake View Room)

It's nice and central, too. The last time we went there we enjoyed 'fine dining' at The Samling next door, which was fantastic

 

One of my fave gaffs on earth mate, no exaggeration at all.

Everything is perfect.

 

Is the hotel called Low Wood mate?

 

Yeah Low Wood Bay. It’s a bit more than a hotel it occupies a whole little cove with lake access and a health and wellness centre at the back. It’s amazing.

 

Absolutely knackers my shins every time I come down off that fell.

I envy that mate. I could live in the Lakes in a blink.

 

Aye we decided we loved it so we sold the business and moved here best thing we ever did

 

I could certainly see myself doing that in a few years mate. I’ve always said I want somewhere peaceful with a bit of land when the times right. If I could chuck views of the lakes in on top that’d be all the better.

I shouldn’t imagine property with good land comes cheap on the banks of Windermere mind

 

Put it this way somebody bought a boat house near Windermere marina for £300,000 so the properties are mental

 

Doesn’t shock me one bit mate. Will see in a few years!

 

That's my wife's lottery dream, but one of the million pound plus houses on the road between Bowness and Newby Bridge.
We all should have a dream, mine is living long enough to see the lads win the Premier League
