What are the chances to get a buyer (if true) with the City's and Fans' interests at heart? Fingers crossed!
It seems odd timing that now the team is doing OK in the league and the fans are not constantly on their back that this news comes out.
38 million, rising to 53 if you get promoted. That's a big loss on their original investment of 60? And that's assuming they are selling their bit only. good for you guys if it's a genuine fan but they've taken a bath on this unless they got a real hump of management charges in. Taff would have a good fix on that, I reckon. if it's the Euromillions winner, then he'd be chucking in one thiord or so of his win but would need to chuck a bit more in to keep the cash steady or to push for the tops with some invesgtment.
Hi Frankfurter - they really will be underwater on their investment as the Chief Investment Officer of the Pension Investment Fund I used to Chair would say! My understanding is that they bought 68% (of the share capital, but with 75% of the voting rights) based on a total valuation of £110m. As such, they paid c£75m - but that was when the $:£ rate was $1.50. So they paid c$112.5m. £38m at today’s rate is c$48m...... The moral of the tale is only invest in things that you know or understand.......
There is another large fall in the parachute payment next season, so trying to find a new owner who would have to either find the shortfall or face the wrath of the fans
"The valuation has dropped since they sold Daniel James and Oli McBurnie, and sources say groups from around the globe have shown interest." This bit interests me, though it is no surprise that this is happening now, I did say pre season, that next seasons parachute payments are peanuts, so expect them to abandon ship before, and lets hope we get some serious money people in who, love the beautiful game..............
I think you may well find that it isn’t a joke ..... I was told several months ago that Morgan was looking into it.....
