The Gazette can reveal that DaGrosa’s US investment firm – who are working with former Manchester United and Chelsea chief Peter Kenyon – have within the last seven days progressed their bid by opening a fresh company GACP NEWCASTLE INVESTORS (U.S.), LLC out of Delaware. The incorporation date for this fresh venture was Tuesday, October 8.

This follows on from the setting up of GACP NEWCASTLE MANAGEMENT (U.S) LLC and GACP NEWCASTLE PARTNERS (U.S), LLC. The former launched on September 27, 2019 with the latter set-up on October 1, 2019.

I really hope this one comes off ! ok an oil rich arab would have been nice, but these guys have been honest in their intentions and I like the fact they want to invest in coaching and youth . This would give us a proper identity over time.

75 million in January and 40 million a season is what they claim to guarantee and that's a huge amount more than Ashley spends who spends about 30 every 5 , so if sustained we would certainly be better off .

    here's hoping

    Step 3 of 12,421.

Notice Qatar are being mentioned alongside Leeds Utd. We'll end up the only British owned club in the top 2 divs. But at least we'll have the best academy in "the region"*.

*region denotes anywhere north of the river Tyne, but south of Morpeth.

sounds like leeds will be back in the prem with a vengeance if they get promoted ! strong fanbase could be huge if they get investment like that.

I don't think there's a lot wrong with the over-arching model Ashley wants to have. All clubs should be held accountable when not balancing the books. Liverpool's Fenway Group has a similar model; they sold players for vast sums of money to reinvest. It's the management structure, or lack thereof, lack of commercial profit, our and ludicrous decision making that should disappear with new owners. If we stay in the PL, employ competent people to run the club, maximise commercial opportunity and subsequently invest far more wisely in all areas of the club, that'll work. We don't need oil money - no club does - if there's a level of ambition and competence.

I agree, I just don't want people thinking we'll have 70m plus players sales.

Would love to have a young up and coming manager who has more than one tactical plan.

I was suckered into thinking that the last takeover was a genuine agreement.
New companies formed - though monochrome acquisitions (MA) got me into cold reality mode.

I'll not even remotely be interested in falsehoods that Ashley might sell again. He won't. The club ticks all his boxes.

    Look, what I'll say is this;

    - Those docs were leaked, more than likely by Ashley. Means this is going on and has been for a while, Ashley attempt to diffuse.
    - Timeline is close to when Ashley was allegedly advised to sell the club.
    - Ashley/Kenyon have been dabbling for a while; both Joelinton and St.Max are represented by an agency in which Kenyon has an interest.
    - This particular deal suits Ashley. Slow withdrawal, continued adverts, potential for buy-back.
    - This type of deal suits GACP. Low risk, slow invest, higher reward.
    - This deal very much suits Kenyon. High profile, white knight, he'll be given a lot of leeway by the fans by just not being Ashley.

This feels very much different to me. I'm just speculating, I gave up hunting for clues the last time.

the reason it feels different is because it's not as exciting as the sheik takeover and therefor people are more relaxed about it . it's not really worth getting to worked up either way. we will still be one of the poorer sides I the prem and son poorer than leeds too.
