EDIT: ....though I wish she would remember timezones at 2am....

ok dog people. I have a tennis ball in one hand and a dog biscuit in the other. Which one does the Golden Retriever grab first?

Another stumble across today. This is an excellent, easy to understand graph which exposes that well established untruth amongst gearheads that battery electric vehicles [BEV] emit every bit as many emissions as diesel and petrol [FFV] vehicles. Just to take you through the labels, because a few won't be obvious:

Powertrain - The emissions caused by the manufacture of the engine or electric motor and parts.
Lithium Battery - Special to the BEV. Emissions caused by the mining and manufacture.
Glider - A whole car minus the engine or electric motor and some parts.
Tank to Wheel - Special to the FFV. Emissions caused by the combustion of fuel.
Well to Tank - Emissions from base ore to finished power, be it drilling for oil and transportation, to digging for ores to generate electricity.

    upload_2019-10-12_20-36-54.png

Far left, the diesel [and similar petrol] emissions are essentially fixed. They will be marginally better or worse depending on the engine tuning and size.
The BEV also depend on the potential power conversion of the electric powertrain, but they don't vary wildly. So the blue column is entirely due to the cleanliness of the country's electrical grid.
Poland and Germany have quite a high proportion of coal power generation. France has lots of well known established CO2 free nuclear, and Sweden has lots of nuclear/renewables. The EU figure is the European average.

I think one of my chickens is going to have to go :(

She’s been poorly for over two weeks now and spent the last 4 days inside. She can’t walk and stumbles when she tries to move. I’m thinking Marek’s disease maybe. What’s really sad is that she is bright eyed and still eats.

Any chicken owners seen anything like this? It’s like her legs have stopped working. :(

Never seen it in any of mine, but if it is Mareks disease, it's highly contagious so get her isolated from the rest and put her to sleep, wrung neck or vets but do it quickly
