In the big un it looks like literally anything can win it so I'm looking at an each way at a bigger price and I've landed on Darksideoftarnside @ 33s (5 places). Ground and trip will be no problem. Looks overpriced to me and I'll be disappointed if it isn't competing at the finish
I don't bet outside the Cheltenham festival so purely academic interest for me but I would love to see Land Of Oz win the Ces for Sir Mark Prescott. A fine, strapping horse who goes about his business in a very likeable way and hopefully David Egan won't hit the front too soon on him. One of the bookies used to run a TV advert along the lines of "it means more when you've got money on it" but not to me - I will be shouting the house down if Land Of Oz can hit the front a furlong from home. Best of luck everyone
In the cesarawitch it’s all about claimers for me . Time to study with young fallon on board and down the bottom graceful ladywith andrew Berlin claiming five at a massive price. Ground and distance no problem. In the dewhurst I’ve a feeling the jolly gets beat. I think year of the tiger is overpriced. Can Charlie Appleby really keep this horse going he’s had a hard season and the will be desperate . I like positive but won’t like the ground.im not impressed either with these American bred cool more horses, give me a Galileo any time. Anyone got a white coat.
I've gone for a sentimental pick in the Chepstow bumper - Colin Tizzard's Oscars Moonshine is related to that fine chaser Fair Along on the dam side (chased home My Way De Solzen in the Arkle before turning out again 3 days later in the County Hurdle). One of those loveable "talented nutters" was Fair Along and hopefully Oscars Moonshine shows some of the family's exuberence today.
Its a really nice race. I thought about doing a preview as there are so many nice types in there. Nicholls likes to bring his best youngsters here so no surprise that he has the favourite. Everyone talking about the Lacey horses raiding the North but the one he sends here for the bumper has a lovely pedigree. However, having put up the very smart dual bumper winner King Roland as my horse to follow this season I surely have to be with his half brother MAKE ME A BELIEVER (14/1) in this. Had I written a preview I really dont think there would have been a single negative comment. If something sluices up here you better follow it all season!
Morning all.. York 3.50pm Hey Jonesy 11/1 each way 5 places. Has a good record at York, trainer has won race last 2 times and is on a career low mark. In the Cesarewitch..Willie Mullins has a strong had and I think Great White Shark will run well. Ian Williams's Time to Study I also like the look of. But hey you can't back them all so I have plummed for Cypress Creek 28/1 each way 7 places. Dropping down in grade to handicap company from group company....tried to give a stone roughly to Katsasa recently as did Buildmeupbuttercup and look at that ones price in comparison. I thought Cypress Creek's last run was his best on soft ground and Ryan Moore is booked. He s only ridden this fellow once and won on him so I think the omens are good. Good luck all.

Gone for two of O'briens today, singles and a double. Gamble is Pinatubo may well have the constitution of a horse. Witchita and Mythical.
Morning all... All from Chepstow today... 2:10 - Artic Snow - Frankel runner... 2:45 - Quoi De Neuf - NAP... 3:20 - Captain Chaos - Bit of a cliff horse but I do like his chances... 3.55 - Jarveys Plate - outsider of 3 they say...?? 4:30 - Remastered - CD winner, plus Pipes at Chepstow do ok... 5:02 - Temple Hills - Left Twisters to go to JonJo, first run for him, lightweight of the field... 5:40 - Gastara - Ran ok in his last race, but at least he's had a run unlike most of the others... Good luck to all if your playing... please log in to view this image
With the going Soft across the board, today is a total no bet. I hope Pinatubo wins handsomely (has a stone in hand on official ratings, but the ground is an unknown) as we need a superstar to look forward to over the winter, assuming Godolphin do not ship him off to Dubai for the winter and ruin him.
Add in Dorking Cork and you have a nice treble! But have had word for WEAKFIELD tho - GL if you follow
I know it’s boring but keep coming back to IMPERIAL AURA in the silver trophy would be very suprised if he’s not a lot better than his current mark - stable is bang in form , ground should be no bother. No point trying to get him beat coz I can’t
Got all my tasks done today so just settling down for a fine afternoon's racing with a fridge full of:
Tintangle with a nice victory on chase debut at Fairyhouse despite carrying about as much condition as her trainer . This strapping daughter of Yeats looks made for chasing and is one to follow this winter.
