Ffs why not 2 strikers? We NEED to go after them.

That looks a decent team, Gardner, Larsson, Sess, all potentially goalscoring midfielders. Not too happy about Ricco at LB but I suppose he's the only realistic option as The Bard's out.

glad Vaughan is getting a game

will keep it neat and tidy in the middle of the park abit like Riveros but more suitable for this league

would of not played Elmo and gone with Ji up top with Larsson on the right and Sess on the left

It seems as though we are building our team around Sess and that wouldn't be a bad think if we had 2 or 3 more players with abit of flair and pace in the midfield and upfront but with the current squad I don't think we have the right players and play the right style of football that will suit Sess

    Stokes line up:

    Begovic
    Wilson Shawcross Huth Woodgate
    Delap Whitehead Etherington
    Jerome Walters Crouch

No idea how this line up works out, would seem they're going with an all out 3 up top. I'm also not sure who plays left back in that back 4.

looks like stoke are going 433 so 4411 should help to nulify their attack and then catch them quickly on the break... an early goal will help settle the nerves

Vaughan and Gardner as the CM pair. Interesting.

I doubt they're gonna have to do much anyway with the amount of long balls from Stoke, most of the play will just be going over their heads.

That's presuming Stoke can get the ball

    Mignolet
    Elmohamady Brown Bramble O'Shea

Maybe O Shea at LB and Elmo at RB with Ricco/Sess left wing and/or in the hole.

    That would make us 433

Fully agree but if we can get hold of the ball and control the game then i can see those two plus Larsson causing Stoke problems, if it goes against us then Bruce needs a plan B, ie: Clattermole.
