Says he can play there but his favoured position is in an advanced role. Too young to have a defined role yet anyway.

    Elliott
    Simpson Saylor Colo/Perch Raylor
    Tiote
    Cabaye
    Ober Guti
    Ba Ameobi

Tiote, Ba and Ameobi to come off for HBA Sami and Marv. I'm not sure we should be having wholesale changes at the back with perch, elliott and fergy being thrown on. It's a risky game to experiment and Ba/Tiote need the match time.

    elliot
    perch saylor colo raylor
    --------smith
    marveaux gosling guthrie jonas
    shola

stick smith in let him sit infront of the back 4 like he did for many of games in the championship.
gosling surley has to play, he played very well in the 6-0 vs norwich, give guthrie some play time stick perch in the back 4, and start marveaux

Impossible to actually predict a team though so I'd just say the following:

    - give Colo a rest as he played the last cup game, possibly Perch-Taylor in case we need him in the league
    - Gosling and Guthrie should play
    - Ben Arfa to get a half (hopefully)
    - Elliot probably to play
    - keep some first teamers like Simpson/Raylor, Jonas etc

Play the usual mix of experience/youth with HBA getting 20 mins at the end to make an impact and get a bit of match fitness.

    Elliot
    Raylor Kadar Taylor Ferguson
    Marv Abeid Gosling Sammy
    Ba Lovenkrands

HBA for lovenkrands around 70 min mark and switch to 4-4-1-1
Got Best, Cabaye, Jonas, Obertan, Colo etc to bring on if going badly.

On a side note... since I saw Guthries name there, saw him walking out of Villa park with his suitcases and a mate or something as fans coaches were leaving, would he not be getting team coach back? He waved at us when we were knocking on window

    --------------------Harper
    Simpson--------Saylor--------- Perch----- Raylor

    Marveaux ----------- Guthrie ---- HBA------------Ferguson
    ---------------------Loven ---- Shola

Bench: Tiote, Cabaye, Best, Guti, Krul, Sammy

Think we need some experience in the team cos Cup games are always difficult even against lower league opposition. Remember against Scunny we were struggling even with the likes of Cabaye, Saylor, Colo, Best and Ba. So yeah I'd like to see some youngsters in the team but I think that Pardew will maybe play an even stronger team against the florists...

If we play Perch, can we not leave him back down there?

We definately should be looking at Ferguson at LB to see if he does a decent job, he may well be first choice until Jan

Don't see the need to make major changes and rest players. It's very early in the season. After Forest their is a full 3 day break until Rovers. We then have a whole week break until Wolves, and after that more than 2 weeks until our next match. Resting key players is needless, they're professional athletes and this is not a demanding run of fixtures.

    I'd go:

    Krul
    Simpson
    Taylor, S
    Colo
Taylor,R (Santon to come on if fit)
    Marveaux
    Gosling
Cabaye (Guthrie to come on if we've got a couple of goal lead)
    Jonas
    Ba
Best (HBA to come on for the last half hour)

Perch & Kadar in defense = disaster. Both hugely lacking match practice (and ability in Perch's case). I would also like to see Ferguson get some time if Santon isn't fit.

I'd play Gosling over Tiote as we need Tiote for PL matches and he'd only pick up a pointless yellow at Forest, putting him closer to his first one game ban of the season.
