Yes, these three are the first three in the betting currently. What's concerning me, however, is that Ainsworth is odds on (with Oddschecker). Much rather see either of the other two!
Cheers for the info marra. I'm in favour of Stendel personally but what you've said would take bit of the sting out of an Ainsworth appointment
Odds mean nowt mate if someone lumps £50 on it massively changes the odds. There’s not a lot of action on these markets. If someone is mentioned on Sky there’ll be a few bets and his odds will shrink.
Plays an attacking brand of football too if I remember correctly. Always thought he did a cracking job at Watford as well before they did the inevitable and bullet their manager after a year or so.
Probably because he's in a job and he's been given permission to talk. I don't think Wycombe play this weekend so no disruption. I'd guess we will talk to Cook after the weekend and maybe we have other in work managers in mind.
I'd have this guy in a heartbeat. Foreign with fresh idea's AND plays attacking football what's not to like.
Just got out of the car and back into house but as I was getting out Jim white off talk sport just read a headline “ rival boss turns down blackcats “ now I never stayed to listen to it so has anyone got any ideas who he’s talkin* about ?
Robins mate. He didn’t ‘turn us down’ we were refused permission to speak to him yesterday and he signed a new deal.
Not sure if this has been posted already... Football fans can be a ruthless bunch, with a few bad results often all it takes for them to turn on their club's manager. It's rare, then, that supporters are actually left disappointed to see a head coach sacked after an 10-game winless run that has left their side in the relegation zone. And it's even more unusual for that manager to have a leaving party arranged by them. But, one day after being dismissed by Championship strugglers Barnsley, Daniel Stendel was invited to spend an evening sharing a drink with dozens of Tykes fans at a pub in the town centre. The German was a hugely popular character at Oakwell, having guided the club to promotion from League One last season in his first campaign in English football. Stendel, who turned up at the Garrison pub with assistant Chris Stern, won 31 of his 66 games in charge - the third highest win ratio of any permanent manager in the club's history. "It's been a very emotional time for me," he told the Barnsley Chronicle. "What a lot of people have said to me is this - 'once a red, always a red'."
Gareth Ainsworth plays an attacking brand of football.... I watched his players unceremoniously attack our players for a full game!!
