    Newcastle possession: 58.8%
pass completion: Villa 73%, Newcastle 83%
Total passes: villa 224/308 Newcastle 362/434

Top 3 passers for both sides:
    1. Tiote 74/88
    2. Cabaye 59/65
    3. Raylor 43/50

    Top 3 chances created:
    1. Cabaye 5
    2.Marveaux 3
    3. N'Zogbia

Interestingly, obertan had the most successful take-ons (5). Newcastle had twice as many attempts as villa (22 against 11), and the most influential player on the pitch was cheik tiote, followed by cabaye. So clearly villa were dominant...

I love how Marveaux got the 2nd highest number of chances despite being on the pitch for barely 10 minutes.

The guy must start next week.

Twat Le Tissier has always had something against us, Southern v Northern mentallity I think. He also hates Pardew after his spell at Southampton and will always be biased to our opponents when reporting on us. Merson is just as bad/worse. Infact thinking about it it is about time they have someone who represents the more northern sides, all southern monkeys or Thommo, who although still isn't great,he is still probably the fairest/best on the panel IMO.

The chances stat may be wrong as it includes his long-range efforts, which although they were very close to scoring, aren't really chances.

Still, it shows clear domination, just a shame Given was playing for them not us.

TBH, he should have done a lot better with their first goal, and Given made a brillinat save off Cabaye which earnt them a point. He's an absolute steal for 3.5mill.

it's more to do when we were linked with him and KK said we had ginola and no need for him some comments were bandied about concerning big fish in a small pond and whether he'd cut it at a top team cue wonder goal against us and a massive strop

This. Dont care who we drop (other than Besty) as long as he plays.

Quick mention, Raylor's best defensive game of the season yesterday. Probably down to how much we controlled the game over long periods though.

I meant realistically, he's an attacking player so we wouldnt drop a defensive one for him.

To be fair to Le Tiss he's entitled to his opinion and we always seem to thrive on the negativity thrown at us so let the doom mongers keep it up!

What worries me about yesterday, is how it will have alerted top teams to Cabaye. He was in a class of his own yesterday, it was him practicing shots against Shay for most of the match.
