I doubt it but who knows.
If the takeover has fell through then an unpopular choice with the fans would be suicide for SD surely.?
If the takeover is on i doubt they would want ainsworth,
    Stendel, probably.
    Thats my take anyway.

I think the press are mischievous on this.
Doesnt take a Rhodes scholar to work out safc fans are mainly in favour of stendel whereas ainsworth is regarded as anti football.
Twisting words from being possibly interviewed to one of being favourite is hardly a stretch of the imagination and they know it will garner loads of clicks and comment.
It is meat and drink to the perennially depressed . They are almost wishing it to happen because it suits their outlook on life...only bad things happen.
I suspect ainsworth will cost several hundred thousand to break his contract. Stendel will cost nowt, is proven and is the fans favourite.
Donald reads social media. No way will he make an unpopular choice after what has happened with ross.
It may not be stendel but I just dont see it being ainsworth.
If it is then donald has lost the plot

I'm astonished that no one has thrown tony Adams name out there or sol Campbell's.
    Same category as Holloway, McClaren.
Hey what about cotterill or monk?
We could scrape the bottom of the barrel and go for Kinnear.
    Imagine any team hiring kinnear...oh!

Campbell is in the bookies odds to be fair mate.

Not that they matter, the markets are so small that a handful of bids slashed the odds on anyone.

    I don’t mate don’t worry <laugh>

Just pointing out that Sol was in the odds.

Coventry refuses us permission to speak to Robins and he’s now signed a new deal, so that’s one of the fancied ones out.

Id guess it's between the 3 you mentioned last night.

    Stendel, Ainsworth and Cook.

Be a surprise if it wasn’t one of them.

I’m firmly in the Stendel camp. I like Carvajal or Jokanovic for it as well but neither in the running.

Would see the logic in Cook, just see no positives in Ainsworth, other than he’s a great character.

Jokanovic would be the dream for me to be honest.

Just a shame he's out earning mega money in the Middle East.

I know little about all 3 of them to be honest although the reports on Stendel are very positive.

Whats the reason behind the interest in Cook?

Yeah he was my very first thought mate, at that point I didn’t even consider Stendel as he was in a job and had just taken them up.

I do think Jokanovic could be got, he won’t be short the compen when Fulham fired him alone will have set him up for life.

Shame we ain’t looking there, outstanding record of improving teams and taking them through the league.

Cook is a very viable candidate mate. He was the one that took Portsmouth through League 2 despite financial restrictions, he then went Wigan and broke records getting them up, and kept them there comfortably.

I can absolutely see why he’s in the running and he’s one I’d accept easily enough. His track record is flawless.

Not known for expansive attacking football mind, but his team generally defend superbly.

    Yep he will do!

Really should concentrate more on the lower leagues

I know a bit about Ainsworth mate, he’s clearly a fantastic fella, he was on Soccer AM once and he was brilliant.

He’s bright, funny, a really interesting bloke. He paid out of his own pocket for new training gear when they were struggling financially, and he’s done a solid job at Wycombe.

It’s purely footballing mate. 7 years to build foundations is fine at Wycombe, it’s not enough here. I’d back him if he got it but I would be incredibly disappointed. I just don’t see the fit.
