Farrell gets one over, hopefully he’ll be OK now.

Well done Japan. Scotland are on the verge of going out now.

England are the only team in the whole tournament to get 3 bonus point wins from 3 games, and have the fewest points conceded of any team.

Can they just give us the Cup now?

The threatened typhoon in Japan has caused several weekend games to be cancelled, including England's match. England now go through as group leaders after teams were awarded 2 points each.

Suits England very nicely. Nice long rest before the quarter final.

They’re hoping the Friday and Sunday games will all be playable, which includes Scotland v Japan and Wales v Uruguay. The Saturday games will be worst affected, and England v France and New Zealand v Italy have been cancelled, although Ireland v Samoa will probably be OK.

It`ll be close, but I fancy Scotland to beat Japan, after two confidence building wins. If the game were to be cancelled, there would be accusations of home country bias, which I`m sure the Japanese wouldn`t want. Come Sunday, if the game is still in doubt, why not postpone for another day ?

They're saying that the can't do that as they've already made the decision to cancel the Italy-New Zealand match even though Italy would still be able to qualify with an unlikely win.

Well you wouldn't have an ashes series here in December I suppose.

How long does the typhoon season last out there?

June to October, apparently. Hagibis is a super-typhoon, equivalent to a Cat 5 hurricane.

Yeah you can't compensate for a storm of that strength.
