I agree with that. I personally am not keen on forcing 3 players into the team who basically do the same thing: run at attackers and try to get a opportunity to shoot. It lacks variety and balance. Also if we dont play all 3 we can use one as a sub to run a tired legs.

OK, replace "striker" with "Ings/Adams/Long/Obafemi". If we were to play the three of them without any of those four, then yes I'd expect Redmond to be the most central and advanced of the three.
Which, considering Ings is the only one of the 4 to have scored recently, might just work. Danny/Che to come on after an hour if needed.
I’d play Boufal, Redmond, Djenepo, Ings, Adams and Long. That’s the defence sorted. Not sure who I’d play in the attacking positions though.
