They wont be all season though. I'd back them to finish higher than us. Saying that, I'd back Mary Nightingale to get higher than us.
My concern is that I dont see three worse sides than us this year. Norwich are the only one. We are just so easy to beat. Unless things change, we could be in a spot of bother.
As a statement, correct but you know what he was saying. I’m amazed you got couple likes & probably a few more to follow, so what the **** do I know.
Not read any of the thread since about 12pm. We were crap. We lost. All is not lost. The team put as much effort in as I did on this thread. I will go now as i feel the usual suspects are losing their **** on here and I am not reading it Positives: I don't need to do the next thread.
Teams that will be in and around the relegation zone probably all season: Saints Newcastle Brighton Norwich Aston Villa Sheffield Utd Burnley And possibly Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Watford too. Sure we’re in the mix, but we know we can be better than we have been recently, and we’ve had a pretty bad run of fixtures too. I think we’ll be in the mix all season, but I think we’ll live to see another year of PL football too. Let’s not pretend there’s not lots of other poor teams, the odd good result and performance doesn’t change that.
9 months of football trying to avoid getting relegated, and for what? Just to spend another 9 months the following season trying to avoid being relegated? What is the point? Seriously, why are fans of the also-ran clubs not more angry about this situation? At least in League 1 we have something to aim for.
And there we have it. The reason why nothing will ever change because fans care more about getting one over their rivals than their team not just making up the numbers. Of course, silly me, we should be grateful to sit at the big boys table and feed off their scraps.
We have something to aim for too, finishing as high in the league as possible (we were only a couple of points off of Champions League football a few years ago), European football is something to aim for and something we have achieved recently. Plus the cups, even a poor PL team can win a cup, they’re one off games and if you get a good draw you’ve got a chance! But realistically, with the owners we have and the squad we have, staying in the league until we can improve our owner situation and then our playing squad situation is sadly where we are right now.
I think this at times like this. But then we play well and enjoy watching. Only prob is playing well and winning is rarely happening at the moment
But with Europe, teams spend an entire season trying to get into Europe, then because it's unlikely to the be the Champions League (as those positions are pretty much locked down), no one cares about it and fans and coaches try to get out of it as soon as possible. Plus, realistically the top six places are pretty much certs: Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, Man U, Chelski and Man £ity. Your only hope is that one of them wins the FA Cup so 7th gets a Europa League space. Yes, Leicester might be doing okay at the moment and both Spurs and Man U doing poorly, but over the course of a season, normality will be restored... Maybe they should cut a couple of months off the football season, would give everyone else more of a chance and would mean 'freakish' league positions are more likely to actually finish that way.
