Does that sit with him though? We have a lot of ownership issues right now. We may have bought what we could get, whilst he may have been crying out for defenders. Who knows?
I don’t disagree, but his being horrifically out of position created our goal, and should have created a second.
Yep, was a difficult call. Fact is I think in the right system our defenders are adequate. I just think he's playing the wrong system time and again.
Neither of which are playing. We did buy one defender and guess what? He isn’t playing. Basically we haven’t strengthened Are they injured or not good enough
Your **** stick comment is spot on. Not sure what he can do. Very tricky selection against any reasonable attack. Still a ****e lot of work for Ralph to do.
Right, if we draw 3-3, then Ralph is a god, and no one is ever allowed to question him again. If we lose 1-5, then it's Ralph-out baby, let the meltdown commence!
When was the last time we came from 2 down to win a game? Was it Liverpool under koeman? I honestly think that this season is when our luck runs out. There's certainly not 3 teams worse than us like the previous two.
Disagree. At least we're playing Chelsea who put 5 past Wolves on their own turf. Norwich shipped 5 at home to Villa. Lots of teams can't defend - it's a good job Alan Hansen is no longer on MOTD!
Thats because we did. Sadly the team has been allowed to get in a state where it will take many good windows to sort it, as we needed replacements in a lot of positions. I'm not writing off the signings we have made yet, but they haven't hit the ground running, so we are effectively the same side (granted, we have more attacking options) that was in a relegation battle all of last season (and the season before that). The fact that our only defensive signing Danso can't get into a consistently poor defence isn't a great sign that our recruitment has improved either. It feels like we are a club struggling in quicksand at the moment. It feels like the enthusiasm that Ralph brought with him has been worn down by being here. We clearly need big changes, but if that needs to start at the top, are we going to see them before the quicksand swallows us whole?
Norwich and Newcastle already look like sh*t, and most proper gash teams don't plummet until after Chrimbo. We'll be fine. Just gotta stop playing teams in the top 6 for fook's sake.
We have a knack of conceeding from most of the shots on target we face too. Bournemouth scored all their shots on target against us the other week, Chelsea have scored from 3 of the 4 they've had on target today.
