We all remember the last time we played this club at Home Park don't we. The reason why I've posted this thread early this week. Yes it was the last game of last season when the most unsporting bunch of turds came to our club. The Manager of the day is no longer with them and probably most of the players have moved on as well. But I don't care. This is one fixture that I want to see Argyle stuff the opposition. As a reminder in case some forget. This is the infamous incident where our keeper was injured and tried to throw the ball out of play to get treatment. Their player scampered after it as quick as he could, kept it in play and lobbed our man for a goal. Despite loads of protests from everyone their Manager obviously could see no wrong in this and they refused to let us walk one in. OK we went on to win it 3 - 2 and the result didn't make a difference as we still dropped because of other results. But it isn't the point is it. I'm guessing it's why the football gods put that word in their name as a description of their worth. They are doing terribly this season so far. I think they will not improve this game either so I'm going for a comfortable win for the Greens. Our form is much better than theirs and we are at home as well as owing them a kicking. If there is any justice that will be the result. COYG
My Brother who sits not too far from you, is up for this game, for the same reason that you mentioned.
Dom Telford and Byron Moore are NOT available for tomorrow. That's a blow and makes me think I've over-cooked my 3-0 forecast! Ryan Lowe puts it down to both missing early season training. George Cooper has turned down the option of an operation on his facial injury since that would put him out for 3 months. Instead, he will play in a protective mask if the specialist gives him the OK. Brave. Danny Mayor's availability hasn't been clarified as far as I can see. Worrying. I'll add a couple of brighter notes you may already have seen but are worth repeating. Argyle have sold out the 2,300 ticket allocation for the Swindon away match. More have been requested! Our chairman is a partner in a $50 billion investment manager and can afford to plough £5m+ into the club and effectively write it off. How did he get to the Mansfield away game? Helicopter? Chauffeur driven Mercedes S Class? No, on the one of the fan coaches. I like that style.
Palmer, Wootton, Aimson, Sawyer, Edwards, Conor Grant, Sarcevic, McFadzean, Joel Grant, Taylor, Mayor. Subs Michael Cooper, Riley, Canavan, Lolos, Randell, Josh Grant, Rudden.
Comments suggest a sloppy defence cost us again......also overall comments suggest a poor display by Argyle.
It wasn't good that's for sure. We were wasteful. Should have scored several more but didn't. Couldn't see the game out as previously said. You could see it coming a mile off. Two poor teams not just one.
Seems pretty clear that the best we can hope for is stay in reach of the play-off places until Christmas and then bring in a couple of players, a defender and a striker.
