Not really, it's more testament to the fact that Chelsea, United and Arsenal have been in turmoil (or transition/****e if you like. Even the Spuds have made regular top 4), in normal seasons you would expect both you and City to drop around 10 points between those three which would bring you down to 90 or less which is not special.. I will just point out that City have been around the 100 for two consecutive seasons, as yet you have managed it once. Great season or a can you do it again? EDIT...........This reads really bad I should point out that even with around the 90 point mark the two of you would still have probably been 1st and 2nd, although I said 90 was nothing special it was also enough to win the league most times
Really looking forward to this but with some trepidation. Our worst performance of the season was at Old Trafford where I felt our young team seemed a bit in awe of the place and gave United way too much respect in the first quarter ... still should have got something and only lost to a Rashford 'engineered' pen - but we can't afford to have the same thing happen against your lot or we'll be 2 or 3 down before half time. Hopefully our young guns will enjoy the experience today and whatever the outcome they will learn and come on for it. Chilwell, Maddison, Soyuncu, Choudhury, Gray, Barnes, Tielemans and Ndidi are all 23 or younger ... but you'll never win anything with kids
So what's new? I agree we shouldn't be getting ahead of ourselves. City are setting the benchmark and we have only challenged them once. Despite a strong start it remains to be seen whether or not we can do it again. I don't necessarily think it's a foregone conclusion that City will hit near the 100 mark every time, though we have to assume they will if we want to challenge. As for the rest of you, the points total for the other top 6 places aren't all that dissimilar to the normal range, which fluctuates anyway. However, none of you look like getting it together enough to challenge this season, and with a bit of consistency Leicester might just crash the party.
I agree with the sentiment to some extent, but equally you could apply that to any season, they only won because there was no one better. Makes no sense.
My guess at team Adrian TAA Matip VVD Robbo Milner Fab Wijnaldum Salah Firm Mane think Mane should get some joy against Perreira (sp) who is much better going forward than defending in fact to me he looks like a RM than a FB - mid you could say the same about our RB. PS TAA should marry KJT & have a brood of super fit acronyms
Bad news; with me no longer having a modified fire stick, I am unable to watch today's game Good news; well, I'm struggling...
Pereira started off as a winger ... we also have an excellent young RB, James Justin, who might be on the bench ... in friendlies Brenda has pushed Ricardo forward into midfield with JJ slotting in ... much better defender.
Actually so do I ... he was Luton's player of the season when they got promotion last season ... he's over 6ft and very, very quick... can play CB or either fullback ... doesn't seem to get phased by owt ... also scored a cracker in the Caraboa win at Luton ...
Liverpool: Adrian, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Milner, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Firmino. Subs: Kelleher, Keita, Gomez, Henderson, Lallana, Origi, Elliott. Lovren starting is a big boost to Leicester
Schmeichel, Ricardo, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell, Ndidi, Praet, Maddison, Tielemans, Barnes, Vardy Subs: Ward, Justin, Morgan, Gray, Albrighton, Pérez, Choudhury
